Skipping level 1 Frank

Well, it’s something I found out like Day 1.

Basically, with Like two bars L,M,L,H,Drill Claw, Dive Kick, Depending on Distance (you want Blue Light special to go full screen) Berserker Slash, Fatal Claw, Blue Light, Snap.

I don’t even play Wolverine so no clue if it can be extended, but with two bars and with both fully mashed out you can get Frank to 4.

Makes sense. Anytime Frank DHCs into a Blue Light Special at head height he can get a picture or a dashing S jS.

Anyone mind giving me a list of All the characters who CAN’T (as of right now) level Frank up with a DHC or any alterior method besides TAC?

All powerup supers allow for another post Frank super picture.

Multiple assists are useful.

Theoretically (need to test this) there are a lot of other situations in which Frank should be able to abuse something like the Frequent Flier Miles glitch (see Firebrand). It seems that a capture state into a super and a DHC before the super hits sends the opponent into a flying state. Good examples of these are:

Hunter

Firebrand:
Bon Voyage

Deadpool:
Ninja Gift (Bolo)

Spencer:
Bionic Maneuvers

Trish:
Peekaboo

Magneto:
Hyper Grab

Dante:
Grapple

Haggar:
Hoodlum Launcher L (must jump cancel into super)

Storm:
Elemental Rage Hyper (First Hit)

Spiderman:
Maximum Spider Hyper

These moves lead into that special state and open up some new and interesting options for characters that may not have had the ability or much utility to level Frank before such as Storm, Deadpool and Hawkeye. Storm, Spider-Man, and Spencer being able to DHC straight out of their Hypers is also extremely useful. Trish’s Peekaboo, Magneto’s Hyper Grab, and Haggar’s Hoodlum Launcher L can really open up some possibilities late in combos with fast fingers. This can also be used as a possible way to increase damage with someone who works well with low hitstun deterioration (MODOK?)

With Vergil, you can also DHC into missed ST after Dimension Slash and I’m pretty sure Maximum Wesker can’t be used for level ups, it only causes a soft knockdown

You can sometimes recover in time to snap off a THC with maximum Wesker, but it’s not at all reliable.

Cape, I recently came across some of the newer videos you were doing with Frank, good shit! I’m thinking about putting together a team combo video with my latest team Chris/Frank/TM, been playing them for a few days and already finding all kinds of good stuff.

Also wanted to add a couple of notes to your post. You probably know this already but others may not.

Chris:
DHC into Shopping Cart after airborne grenade super (and second shot)
DHC after second hit of punches super into missed tools (must have already used ground bounce)
DHC after magnum shot of punches super into missed tools (mid screen only)
DHC into missed tools hyper after last shot of sweep combo hyper (very small window for DHC to land camera shot, can also launch)
THC (only consistent with grenade launcher hyper after wall bounce has been used)

MODOK:
DHC to missed tools after Hyper Psionic Blaster
DHC into mssed tools after Killer Illumination (can get to level 4)
THC with Hyper Psionic Blaster (leads to full follow up with j.QCF+H if landed raw)

Rocket Racoon:
Hard tag from Happy Happy Hopper
DHC from Rock and Roll into missed tools
THC

Dormammu:
[S]Hard tag during stalking flare[/S] (this doesn’t work if landed as part of a combo)
Hard tag after meteors and inferno
DHC whiffed tools during stalking flare
DHC into cart after stalking flare (unreliable but it works)

Taskmaster:
THC (with vertical/horizontal arrows, most reliable in corner)
DHC to cart from sj.parabolic arrows away from corner for follow up (at certain heights)

Non sexual rice I’m on my phone so i cant tag you, but yea here’s a more optimal version of your idea as far as meter building. Thanks for the idea! I saw someone do something similar in another one of these forums using team noel brown but here’s one using a non direct otg ( Wesker , katanarama) which makes the team composition much more efficient as you can use a character with an assist that helps wolv and frank get in ( beam, arrows, daggers) etc etc. I did it in the corner to show it can be done anywhere just dhc near the middle for blue light. Thoughts?

Oh yea sorry, wolverine to frank without tac level 4. My bad! At work so can’t edit. Hey, my execution sucks, I kept trying to do it slightly later and hit S into another S but no luck due to hitstun :frowning: anyone wanna try and let me know if you have better success with it?

I don’t know if OP is still active, but Viper’s Burst Time can be DHC-whiffed into either a knee drop (very tight timing depending on character) or a cH (HS is usually too high for anything other than a j.S, knee drop, snap shot). You can reliably get to level 3, but I’m still trying to figure out a way to get to 4; HS is usually too high to extend the combo enough. Alternately, if you can get j.H, j.S to come out, you can time an assist with your snap shot for level 4/5, I’m sure Strider Vajra works for this but haven’t tested anything else out yet.

I’m hoping someone more capable than me can look into this more!
