Just ordered a Zero deck online(I skate Zero). Once I get it I’ll hit up the skate shop and get the appropriate parts…until then, I wait.

How long you been skating
Since I was about fifteen, but I haven’t picked up a board in years. I ordered a Zero because they’re decent and it was the first brand I ever bought.
At this point, unless you really support a particular pro…I dont see why anyone would get a deck thats not Real/Krooked/Anti-hero or Girl/Chocolate.

The past episode features Spanky and Alex Olson. I want everyone to watch it (or at least skip to when Olson is being interviewed), because I would like to know SRK’s opinion of Alex Olson. Something about his personality is very inconsistent IMO (I’ll rant about it later).
Cuz those shits are flat and hard as hell! Actually I have a krooked board I’ve been riding every once in a while that I got from Brian Anderson in tampa. it’s a big board with a square tail, he actually skated the contest on it last year.
About Alex Olsen, I think he’s a pretty rad dude. Probably one of my favs at Girl next to Carroll. People give him a lot of crap, I guess it’s weird when your dad is Steve Olsen and everyone in the industry is like ‘oh shit, you are all grown up now!?!?’

I’m in love with Alien Workshop decks.
They are so light, and they have nasty pop.
I’ve skated two of those so far and loved them both.
Have yet to skate a Girl/Chocoalte or Real yet. Probably gonna cop a Girl deck next
Workshop decks are the best, I agree. I snap em easy but I don’t know, I guess that’s just what I’m used to.
First of all, fuck you for knowing BA. Second of all, why is BA riding a krooked decks? and third, concave is overrated…but I guess thats preferance.
I like Alex’s skating, his Fully Flared and Gnar Gnar parts are well done. I try not to let a skaters personality get in the way of my opinion of their skating (If that was the case I would have been hated Lizard King), but sometimes Olson makes it real hard for me to be a fan of his. I was laughing when i saw him in the vid though, the dude has been hitting the gym, he is getting diesel .
Workshop decks are OKAY, I had a heath deck in 2007 and that shit was kinda chippy.
DLX family has the best wood and wood glue, and sizes (they have 8.25…eight…point…twenty-five…)
I havent bought a girl deck in years, I always get chocolate (when I am not getting DLX products lol). I like the graphics better.
Guess I haven’t skated enough big stuff yet, to actually have that problem. What I have Skated I never really have problem landing bolts. I’ll see if I can keep doing that as I go bigger.
Arguing over what decks are better is like arguing over who has a bigger dick over the internet. Agree?
I honestly don’t have much experience with any other decks, but I and a bunch of other people that I know(Who have skated other decks) love them, so they’ve kinda been the obvious choice for me over the year and half that I’ve skated seriously.
It all comes down to personal preference. If you Skate certain decks for a while and then switch over to other decks, and notice that your performance is lacking(Terrible excuse I know) it might even come down to superstition for some people. They’ve skated one thing for so long that they’ve tricked themselves into thinking that every other brand that they skate is shit.

It seems that skateboarding is finally coming up in the hood and being accepted. I had a little Black kid come up to me with his $20 Walmart board and ask “How do you jump on the board”.
Felt bad for the kid, because at best all he can do on that board is cruise. Anymore than that, and that board is snapping. Saw the kid’s father, and that guy didn’t seem like the kind of man that would be willing to drop at least $80 on a decent setup. For the first 2 hours at the park there was nothing, but Black skaters. The promising thing was that with the exception of me, my friend, and another kid, all of them were around 12 years old. 1 kid was hurting bad for a board because he broke his.
Man skateboarding is a beautiful thing. It’s way overdue for props in the hood

As for brand…it’s all preference, really. like i said it was the first brand i ever skated with and it just kinda stuck i guess
