Skateboarding: Kick Push and Fall

is today the anniversary of tony hawk pro skater or sumtin cause this is the second time i’ve seen it mentioned today.

I had to fucking work…no skateboarding on my behalf =(

Not even a damn kickflip

Thursday was national skateboarding, (I think its still thursday on the west coast). I just mentioned THPS2 cause its the best alternative to not skating haha.

I did a little bit today, I had work. I did enough to say I celebrated the day.

Everybody should see Baker 3…shit is madness.

As for my board, I dunno…some shit? Other deck snapped and I’ve been skating this old ass Birdhouse deck. Shit is a tank, like 8 inches wide…miss my American Monster deck so much. It had such a great shape and concave.

snot literally came out my nose.

Any of you skateboarders snowboard or would like to?

Yea national go skateboarding day is every June 21st since its the first day of summer.

I skated to work and back today(its still Thursday in Cali) it was good times. It was blazing outside though, too hot for my taste.

Best Skate video parts?
Jerry Hsu in Man Down
Pretty much all of Zero’s Thrill of it All
All of Sorry and all of the Es video that had Koston in it.
Baker Bootleg

I hella thought The End was way way overhyped.

p-rod is my favorite skater and needs a serious haircut…that is all.

Anyone remember chomp on this, best skate video ever made, period.
Haven’t skated seriously in like 4 years, I wish I could do it more, maybe when I go to college somewhere.
Been skating since I was 13 I’m 21 now.

Alien Workshop :forever and always
Destructo trucks
Autobahn wheels
Ninjas
shop hardware

deck: blanks (girl or zero when I can afford them)
trucks: krux
wheels: blanks 51MM or 50MM nothing bigger. Nothing smaller.
bearings: bone reds

Been skating since I was 13. 18 Now. Still going strong. Still having fun. So overjoyed to click on the topic and the first video I see is John Cardiel part. Amazing skater. Legendary part.

I got two favorite skaters who I really look up to their attitude. First being Tom Penny. Amazing skateboarder. Most graceful flip tricks ever. Best FS Flip both regular and switch. Completely lazy style. He is so good but the entire time it looks as if he is just messing around as if he doesn’t care that he even there or something.

Second being Jeremy Wray. Very powerful style yet still very technical. Huge pops on everything and yet still buttery smooth. Guy has been beasting for years and still remains one of the best street skaters. Check out his part from second hand smoke.

Way before it’s time and still holds its ground today against newer parts.

I finally got down fake FS salads and fakie FS tailslides… I’m a happy camper today. :smokin:

Oh, I wouldn’t ride it…if I’m paying $100 for a vintage board, that puppy will hang on the wall until I die.

which is why I gotta have one in decent condition.

This was my old setup. I haven’t skated since High School.

Deck: Birdhouse
Trucks: Thunder
Bearings: Black Panther
Wheels: Spitfire
Shoes: Vans

For those of you not familiar with Marc Johnson.
He a really smooth skater, he always looks like he having a good time and he can get clean tech tricks in too which makes him one of my favorites.

in modus operandi he pretty much kills in the video everything. I also heard hes getting a 21 minute spot in the Lakai Video which is probably big stuff.

peep that vid folks it will be worth your 5 minutes.

/\ Enjoi head. Have you seen Man Down? It’s fucking Bad-Ass.
EDIT: Dammit Emerica. Thanks for reminding me that Hubba’s Hideout and EMB are way past dead.

Rodney Torres is one of the most underrated skaters. He never gets any significant exposure but he’s fucking good.

Tyrone Olson is also nasty

Jamie Thomas was almost ahead of his time in the mid 90s

Jamie Thomas’ part from Welcome to Hell is still the part I watch to get me hyped to throw myself down some shit. The opening runs is easily one of my favorites. So good. Just looks as if it is a a part of his every day thing or something. Just cruising down the street. It’s runs like that is what makes a good part imo. Not some insert grind, 360flip, insert grind then it’s over. Some people can make it look good but a lot of times it just looks like filler.

any idea when Lakai fully flared is out? Hope it’s soon takin forever. btw, you see the lakai site lately? too funny

When I skated years ago, I had these ->

Deck: Blind
Trucks: Independent
Bearings: Reds
Wheels: Blind
Shoes: Ghetto Vans that stuck with me for over 3 years, only ripping at the front…but nothing that pink glue couldn’t fix, rofl.

Man, I remember the days of skate boarding…those were some fun ass times. From the time I learned to ollie to the time I sprained my ankle trying to ollie over another skateboard…ah, the good times.

I learned ollie the first day I skated…then it took me over a year to learn how to kickflip lol. That day I learned how to kickflip was better than any sex I ever had.
