Given the text of what they wrote, it sounds like some tool was pissed off about the slave verses of Star-Spangled Banner. Marginally better phrased than the SEX graffiti I ran into on my morning run today. Key was a complicated guy, but defacing statues is a stupid way of dealing with complicated issues.
