bad news guys, i can’t find the vids. actually, i can’t remember if i even record it at all. i was too busy hosting and running around looking for people to occupy both 3S machines. whenever i’m ready to grab out my pda, the matches had always started without me, so i just gave up after awhile. i may have forgotten to even record the finals.
what do u mean by missing a name during the weekend? as for the text file, I don’t even remember if I got the finals or not. I just remember walking back to the 3S machine, and thinking, “Aw dammit! They started already. I missed the beginning. Now should I even bother recordering the rest?”

but cut me some slack man. i was playing in a tournament, hosting a tournament, recording matches (with my pda), trying to monitor the battery life on my pda, checking up on everyone else to make sure things were running smoothly, and worrying about whether i would be able to finish the tourney on time to make it to work at 10 PM. it gets confusing and tiring. i was even mixing up SJSU people’s names. and i also hosted the Friday tourney at MGL as well. even Anthony admitted to being too tired from that, but decided to show up for our tourney anyways. (Glad you could make it after all, Anthony!)
anyways, here’s an updated txt file:
i’m assuming the last 4 matches were the finals. all ken vs ken, chun vs chun, and ken vs chun matches look the same too me, so i don’t really pay much attention to them.

It would be a much better idea to make sure to record the finals, rather than waste your own time and the space on your PDA recording random scrubs that aren’t fun to watch at all.
Yeah, of course you should bother recording the rest. I’d rather have a couple of SECONDS worth of a good match vid rather than a bunch of full scrub ones.

That simply means you don’t know how to play the game. Period.
oh shit! i found it! it was still on my memory card. it just didn’t transfer over to my computer.

space has never been an issue. i had a 512 MB memory card which has never been maxed out by 1 tourney alone. my plan was to max out that card and record as many matches as i can, with the finals included. recording 1st/2nd round matches has never got in the way of recording the finals. hosting is what gets in the way of recording good matches, especially when i have to run around the bowling center looking for people.
and all the good matches are not all at the end of the tournament. i’ve seen good matches in the middle of the brackets too. there’s been times when someone does poorly the 1st match, so i than decide not to record the rematch, but than the guy makes up for it in the 2nd match and i end up thinking, “dammit, i should have recorded that one!” there has also been people who i remember did well in a previous match or tourney, but after i record them, it turns out that they were hella tired or out of practice.
once again, i wasn’t choosing one over then other. i was trying to get the both of them. if seeing the finals is so important to you, than next time why do you host 3rd Strike so than i can just focus on recording. or better yet, why don’t you buy your own camcorder. that way you don’t have to depend on my inferior volunteer service.
or if u really wanna put me in my place, why don’t you host 2 tournies in a row, record all of the good matches and ONLY the good matches, participate in both tournies yourself, keep an eye on all the other hosts, finish the Sat tourney before 10 PM, and then prepare to work an 8 hour night shift. if you can do all of that effortlessly, than i’ll forfeit this argument and admit to being slow and stupid.

Give MHF a break, man. He works damned hard on these tournies and really does make an honest effort to please everybody. I’ve known the guy for years, and if he didn’t record the matches (which he did, as it turns out), he probably had a good excuse.
I don’t see what the point is in getting worked up over this, anyway. It isn’t as if you won’t have another opportunity to see Jimmy and Ricky play each other.
