I made the region in west 2 for the upgraded servers

I’m hoping for Battlefield 3. I had it for 360 but it got stolen awhile ago. Oddly enough, I went to buy it the other day for PC, but the price was retarded so I got Simcity instead on a stoner whim. I literally walked up to the counter to the cute purple haired EB’s girl, and said “I’m a glutton for punishment”. Ended with a copy of Sim City, a phone number, an incredibly long story/warning about the game and fake asian servers, and coming home to find out I get a free game. w00t!!!1! Nobody actually knows what game it will be.
Anywho, one of my best friends works at EA in Vancouver, and I’ve heard direct horror stories (although they got Rodney Dangerfield there once lol), and I still don’t give a shit. Show me another NHL game that isn’t winning like every sports award for gaming annually. I really don’t buy many of their games. I don’t really even buy my games based on companies or shit like that. I don’t fanboy. I buy games based on what I think will bring me enjoyment. I enjoyed all previous Sim City games, which I owned legit copies of, so why not enjoy this one?
After the Diablo Error 37 debacle, I held off on getting it right away. And it paid off. I’ve had ONE server problem today, when I woke up I couldn’t get on (noonish), so I played another game instead then came back and had no problems. And I get a free game to boot.
Capcom has absolutely broke my heart repeatedly this generation, yet I will still get one of their games if it looks like I’d enjoy it. I bought fucking http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Guy_Game for crying out loud. Like I really care who or what releases a game. I’ve enjoyed myself so far playing Sim City, and others I have talked to have as well.
yea you share town hall bonuses with an entire region so planning is good. Since I had a few hours head start, I have an upgrade already. I’m thinking going for department of transportation to activate regional buses, trains, and all that goodness for commuting between cities in the region. That way, you can specialize more effectively by having workers/freight/students go from city to city.
Keep in mind soviet you picked a city outside my small area in the region, we’d only be able to send planes between our cities. The empty cities neighboring you though, would be able to share workers/freight/students. There are 4 cities that can directly share in this way by road/rail and that makes up a small quadrant. To open up more options you’d need ferries or planes

Yeah I plan on getting ferries and planes, just for exporting and such. My city is already pretty damn full, and all the roads are upgraded. Servers are being gay again now, but Im basically at a point where I just sit there and wait for problems to arise or shit to unlock. I should snag a city next to you.
I think I have ministry of education and safety so far at my city. Which do u have in total? I noticed we got utilities 
Maybe I will do tourism next, get them baseball games going 
transportation and utilities. Sewage and water was just tooo much of an annoyance. Finance might be the lease useful for my city since everything is meant to be low wealth
my traffic is a nightmare. shit keeps burning down cuz fire trucks cant get to them. I’ve redone my streets like a dozen times

My main city is on the back burner. Too many random resources needed. Took a new city in the region, and stupidly built a nuclear power plant, thinking I could easily hook it to my main city and get rid of the coal power plant there. But nope, Im now massively in debt, and making like 700 bucks an hour/min/whatever. and i need a school and police at the very least, soon. Which cost a fuck ton lol.
Friendly warning, my nuclear power plant education level is ‘moderate’

just gonna say this once: FUCK ZOMBIES
seriously, they ate half my damn city, and burned the rest down. At least meteors hit, and then knock a few shitty buildings down, and you rebuild right away. Zombies, you deal with the aftereffects for a loooooong time. I had to start a third city because of zombies. The third city promptly got it’s ass handed to them from escaped psycho’s from Zombieland, with the quickness. So I ended up skipping police stations and fire stations for the big fuckers right away.
On the plus side, with a large population (175k) I started using my pro stadium, and ran all three events. Made a bit of profit on each of them, except the rock concert. Best one was the first one (Monster Truck Rally), which easiliy more than doubled my initial $150k investment.
