Add some shadows to your characters on the ground. Just small ovals will do. Perhaps a different colour or a stroke around the name in order to make it stand out.

I suggest taking out the name completely. If not, use a more solid font like in my av and make it small and put it in the corner.

I was talking with TG about this a couple weeks ago, when that tag contest was going down. I saw Cham talkin stuff in that tag contest thread about the rules and stuff like that. Then I saw him post up his tag and he goes, "blaargh."

Not what I want at all, just I didn’t like how the thing turned out. The idea in my head was a LOT better, just couldn’t translate it. And if I work with something for too long, it becomes a jumbled mess. Thus, the “meh” response. But I’ll quit that if you guys want.
if i ever see something that looks “eh” in photoshop. i start all over again until im satisfied. you can’t leave it as it is if you aren’t happy with it.
