I live in Hawaii now. I’m happy I never had to deal with it living in California and you can bet that I’m not moving anywhere where I need to deal with snow.
I pay up to $50 to make sure that there’s no snow by the time I get back.
I hate cold weather too.
Nova Scotia can get pretty bad, mostly for crazy storms cuz they’re right by the ocean.
The cold isn’t that bad. Oddly enough, if it snows, that means it’s not THAT cold. When it’s too cold to snow, and you get shit like -40 with a windchill, THEN shit sucks.
Try going to Winnipeg. That fucking city needs a dome over it, it’s that fucking cold. Nothing but drunken squaws and hypothermia addicts there.
And to people who’ve never seen snow, I seriously pity you more than anything. Not wanting to deal with it (ie-shovelling, driving in a blizzard) is one thing, but not being able to throw a snowball, or play in the snow, or tobaggan, or ski, build a snow fort/man, is just so fucking sad. You owe it to yourself to experience one of the most wonderful beauties in the world. Snow has this remarkable ability to make anything look beautiful, even the landscape. Fuck, a snowstorm is the only way to make a ghetto not look like complete shit
Wait, what?
I guess if you’re a kid throwing a snowball is the high point of your day…
Jesus, real talk. When you wake up, and it’s bright and sunny, not a cloud in the sky…look the fuck out. It’s the coldest day of the year. I swear, Ontario is like Narnia sometimes.
throwing a snowball as the highlight of my day…no
NEVER EVER throwing a snowball or even seeing snow outside of a movie…sad
I want it to snow here before I move back to china
Indeed. Nothing like an extra size up on Halloween costumes so you fit the winter jacket and snow pants under it. Or a year where I went as “Mario in a winter jacket” for Halloween.
dracula + winter coat + boots = fearsome
Wow. Its pretty cold today too. I heard of an Arctic Blast coming through here, fuck Iceman.
Alas, its colder outside than it is in my freezer.
THANK GOD FOR BLOCK HEATERS
Ehhhh, I disagree. Snow looks awful the second it starts to melt and people start driving over it and it gets mud/dirt in it then it’s slushy and brown. It looks horrible then.
I’m originally from Detroit, moved to Richmond in 05. I can count on one hand how many times it’s snowed, and I only remember three major storms since I’ve lived here. Shoveling snow isn’t bad if there’s a big storm and you go out every couple hours to remove the 3-4" that come down. However, if you get 9" of snow and you get it all up at once? :wasted: I’m too old to be out there hurtin’ my back doing that.
Snow is nothing more than an inconvenience to me since I’m from up north and when it snows here, people have a tendency to flip their cars upside down, no one knows what a shovel is hardly, everything shuts down for days on end, and did i mention people don’t know how to drive? Snow is a whole lot better to experience when you live up north.
lol
I almost thought you meant Richmond, BC.
So when you said people dont know how to drive, I laughed because I thought of all the asians there.
Then I saw you were from Virginia and I stopped laughing.
True, but you have to admit then when it starts snowing and everything is still white it does look amazing.
It’s like a chick with makeup, once that shit wear off it turns into shit.
P.S Snow is ass though. You L.A heads are lucky you don’t have to deal with that shit.
lol Canucks. Even here in the hell hole that is Michigan we haven’t had snow yet. Of course, having said that, It’ll probably snow like 6 inches this weekend just to spite me.
Thankfully, I live in a townhouse right now, so I don’t have to do any shoveling personally.
I love snow a lot. I only get to see it maybe once every year in GA but I’ll still go out in it and play like a kid. It’s funny how people deal with it here. Any accumulation = everything but waffle house and wal mart close.
That’s what i was referring to.
pfft…they get to deal with insane amounts of crime and earthquakes instead. I’ll take snow over that, any time
I moved back to the SF bay area from Maine simply so I could duck shoveling, cold shitty weather and raking leaves.
hahaha…WOW…
You’re on fire today.
naw it’s fun when your an adult too. There’ nothing better than beaning someone with a snowball. Or hitting cars with them.
anyway, i don’t shovel. That’s what i buy snow tires for.
Unseasonably warm weather in New Hampshire this year so far. Highs around 50.
New England mentality: We’re going to pay dearly for this. Already have the Blizzacks on my Spyder.
Or you Balsillie it and build the heater under your driveway.
A couple years ago I was in North Carolina for work and there was a sever snowstorm warning (1 inch of snow with a paltry breeze) and on the drive to the client’s office (60km distance) I counted 8 cars (EIGHT!!) in ditches and 2 were flipped. That said, they were still such careful drivers going slow but not too slow and keeping safe distances. Not like us shitty Canadian drivers who either for speed +15 like regular weather or speed -25, while keeping zero distance between.
