Shouldnt they take another good look at the brackets?

necrophile i appreciate the help but my pool starts at 8am as well. so switching wouldnt work unfortunately.

Why would the top32 bracket be decided by pool number?

im not complaining about rigged brackets im just wondering how with about only 20 hawaii players attending 3 are in the same pool when there are so many pools. thats all.

need to do something about the 3 hawaii players. i think they should contact evo.

i sent a message to inkblot. i hope something is done about it. but if it isnt no big deal just got a really bad hand dealt.

hey, if you lose early, just go gamble like me. haha.

i plan to, that and hit up in n out. lol

There is only one Japanese player in pool 13

Well MK9 pool 26 has… Chris G, JWong, and Floe.
So much for seeding there.

/seeding at such big events won’t be perfect and random number generators are just that - random.
There’s still a good chance folks will be seeded with someone they know, and thus is the random number generator.

It should however, be programmed to say ‘reseed if pool contains >1 rep from x state’ but that wouldn’t work for heavily represented places like CA or NY.
Anyhow, unless you’re going to EVO and have a problem with your bracket, you shouldn’t be complaining. It is what it is.

MK had no seedings…only AE and MVC3 have seedings…

The issue is that we don’t have an official ranking system. If every tourney game was played for ranking points, the way that Magic or Chess are, we would have a far more accurate way of seeding players. Until that happens, we’re stuck with semi-random pairs.
