I’ve considered picking up a 360…then I need to buy the disc…and the live account…and an xbox stick or dual mod the one I have…and that’s a lot of dough to play something I can already play…

Yessir…sunsun took that post to mean I was going to pull the trigger but it’s doubtful. I know PSN is inferior and blah blah but seriously…I own the game, the stick, the console and I have a good time playing already. Also, not having to pay for the network is pretty big for me, I have enough monthly bills already. I figure it would cost a minimum of $400 to get started and then the monthly (or is it a yearly lump sum?) xbox live fee. Probably not going to happen, sorry boys.
On a side note…I went 33-3 last night in a room of 5, one player being redsox04-05 who is a 5000+pp/13000+bp Adon. Who was my problem? Not redsox’ Adon (beat me once) but a regular, middle of the road Guy player. He would switch between Akuma, Ibuki, some other forgettable pick and then Guy. I beat his other characters handily. Two of the three losses came from Guy and it was simply because he’s a constant 50/50 and his up close game makes Gouken look stooopid bad…
Ok, so since I regularly play on both now let me put this thing to rest. 360 is NOT the superior machine. 360 is only superior in regards to the AE community and there being more and better players/competition. Thats the only reason I got one. Input is the same to me, although I’m using the Crossfire and I believe theres maybe a frame or two in that. But overall I notice no difference. Connection is almost the exact same with 360 being maybe sliiightly better. I dreaded getting a 360 because you have to pay for a stupid membership and worry about hardware issues. But ultimately Climaxter, I got a 360 20GB HD off Craigslist for $70, AND the guy threw in Tekken 6 and two controllers. I had to get this Crossfire so I could use the PS3 pad, which I’m guessing you can do the same for stick because you have to use it wired anyway, for $80. Then I had to buy the stupid membership which is yearly and is $60 I believe. Then I bought the game on XBL which was $20. So all in all it seems like alot to do and spend but that came out to about $230. There are good players on PSN, very good players but for AE 360 just happens to be where its at. 360 has no “up’s” on PS3, its just AE (maybe Marvel and other fighters but I dont play those so I dont know/care). I can say though that since being on XBL I have gotten better simply based off the fact that I’ve been playing better people.
If its something you’re considering, the overall amount of money is not alot. I did it all in one shot but you can break it up over the course of a few months. I dont know your financial situation so I wont go any further lol.

I wish more people would get it on PC. Net seems more stable, crazy fast load times and plenty of options to record gameplay

It’s mainly about the community, On the PS3 I’m finding high level player hard to come across, and when I do My internet is not as great as on my PC.
I just checked STEAM and it’s £24.99 for me.

Ya, it uses Games for Windows Live (GFWL) which links to your xbox live account if you have one and it lets you link it to steam too, just download it through steam and enter the game key or install it then link it through steam (if you want, you can ask for the key from the seller so you can start playing while waiting for it to ship)
I’m assuming the steam sales run at different periods between US and UK but yes, sale is off at the moment state side and you can’t really beat 7 squid
Funny thing is, I rarely ran into goukens on 360 but I always run it to at least 2 every time I go on ranked matches on PC (then again, I stopped playing a while back then came back after infiltration picked up gouken so that may have had an impact)
By far the biggest selling point for me though is load times. The VS screen that comes up after stage select with the annoucer? you can skip past it cause your game has already loaded lol

Okay I’ve brought the game off Ebay and requested he sent me the key over e-mail before he sends it (If he’s comfortable with that - He may choose to decline)
But I don’t know how to download it from steam without purchasing it from there.
You’ll need the key first. Once you have it, open steam, go to your library, click on “+ ADD A GAME…” on the bottom left and select “Activate a product on Steam” then follow the prompts, agree to terms and enter the cdkey and you should then have the ability to install/update etc. as though you bought it through steam
