On second watch it wasnā€™t an infinte. It was the combo in the nicovid posted earlier in the first match, the one involving the DP, wall bounce, and step kick. Started at 1:51.

fatal combos are crazy in this game. just donā€™t get countered.

Yeah watching more vids getting fatalā€™d in this game is ow. Really feeling it from vids, liking the Eyepatch loli.

Alright, I admit it. Iā€™m liking the looks of this game, especially upon seeing it actually in motion. Though I donā€™t know much about Koihime Musou besides the fact that it uses the ROT3K setting. Guess I need to brush up! :lol:





How is this game counter hits different from BB fatal counters ? Kof12 HD Counters, AH3 Counters, GG counter, and older generation game counters?

Well this is no turn off for me as I its nothing new to me.

Itā€™s more like BB fatal counters in that only specific moves give that ā€œimprovedā€ counter state. But itā€™s the 1st time I see it in a SF2 style game, and the combos can be very lethal depending on the character and position.
The weird thing is that corners kill your combo potential, so you want to avoid corners and keep flipping them midscreen.
Itā€™s also not as dominate as one might think, since the zoners still kick ass without it.

This actually looks good :). Funny when I first saw it I thought it was kinda crap,but I always keep an open mind before judging games now adays.

that sound like fun adapting too. I normally like placing mys self in corners.

The counter situations reminds me of Battle fantasia gatchi drive situations.

I really like the fact that (unlike SF4) you really canā€™t cancel/link anything from the chain of small hits, making it very similar to ST in style.
Also dash in throws seem very good and donā€™t get techedā€¦

Edit: And the damage of single hits and fireballs is as big as in SF2ā€¦ I really want to play this :frowning:

I must agree it look like a game that focus SF2 fundamentals. Even comparable to Battle Fantasia. (which I like)

Heh, I wonder how the author of the original ROTK books would react if he were told that hundreds of years in the future some japanese company turns all of his characters into girls and makes games for perverted lonely men based on his works :stuck_out_tongue:

Time to put some shine back on this one since itā€™s getting some play again. Wouldnā€™t mind a port of it in the future.
