She better have something else up her sleeve or it’s going to be even more difficult to main Rose. She needs more than a stamina upgrade if they nerf her backdash. She needs to have a viable wake up option or we are really screwed. It’s already hard enough to get back up after a knock down with her as it is. If they take away your only real escape route from pressure after a knock down and don’t give her any wake up options it’s going to get ugly real fast for us Rose players.
I just may change my main if that happens. May go back to Blanka or try one of the new characters…
Honestly, I’m not even that great at utilizing my back dash that well and I’m still able to win a lot of matches with her, so I’m sure all you great Rose players will be just fine if it really did get nerfed.
I heard a while ago that they were removing invincibility frames from back dashes for all characters in the game. I can’t imagine that they would change the entire animation and properties of her back dash. That seems like too much work for one character. So changing back dashes in the game’s “engine” seems to make more sense
Well Rose wasn’t the only character with a good backdash. Chun Li, Blanka, Dhalsim, Cammy also had pretty good ones. There’ll probably be something to compensate for the “fixed” backdashes, even if it’s as simple as an improved focus system.
I’m more curious if they altered the distance of her forward dash so she has more combo opportunity like how Akuma can (or was able to) link fierces after FADC fireball.

I’m not too fussed about a shorter back dash, but removing invincible frames will hurt characters like rose and chunli a lot… Let’s hope they still count as airborne.

hits Sakura before she hit the ground. It seems like Ultra II may be a decent wakeup option for Rose. Though perhaps that’s just wishful thinking.
ohohoh, then the backdash is still very nice!! less range, but still very nice speed. Also, spiral seems to cheap a lot. I didnt saw any change in Ex spiral. But… THANKS GOD FOR THE LAST ACTION. NO MORE SAFE JUMP.
*Soul Satellite seems VERY fast but I think she’ll probably be able to get thrown out of it like you can throw Sim out of Yoga Inferno on the startup. But still it looks very fast and has solid hitstun, we can probably punish a LOT of things with this Ultra into a nice combo.

Rose looks like her lk spiral is slower on start up but recovers faster? That or I’m mistaking it for her mk sprial. Either way, it looks like they tweeked the frame data on her spirals altogether. Also, her ultra II starts in the middle part of her body for sphere one for active frames.
I understand the concern about being grabbed out of it, but if they nerfed grabs like they said they would so it would be harder, then it shouldn’t be a problem to FA and ultra II without being thrown.
so EX Spiral doesn’t seem to have any more invincibility. And I thought Satellite was supposed to be 2 hits for each orb? Is this an old video that got displaced? The only things that are definitely SSF4 are the ultras and the background. Backdash looks the same, focus attacks seem just as slow.
I cant tell to much fromt his video, but i think its just going to come down to her overall play her ultras sound solid now, so it really just falls on what changes they have made to special properties and stuff. hopefully its mostly good but i execpt some nerfs.
