What do you mean by this…or are you just saying you wish this was the case? I think our only hope for U1 comboing is Cosmic Heel and even that isn’t certain.

You know, the U1 whiffing after hitting Guy on the way up is disappointing, but it is not terrible.
Claw recovered in time to be safe. Imagine if he did a Viper-esque “hang in the air for 150 frames” thing after it whiffed. THAT would suck ass.
They even used Guile on the stream last night for a good amount of time. :bluu:
The Ultra flash doesn’t happen until you hit the wall, then you go into the Ultra as normal.
i’m still curious to find out if they made scarlett terror an actual anti-air now instead of well…whatever its purpose is in Vanilla SF4

Well, EX Scarlet Terror is still useful to counter fireballs. It also does a good chunk of stun. I hope they added some invincibility frames to it. D:
If not complete invulnerability, then hopefully improved projectile invulnerability. It needs to be projectile immune the entire animation. Too many times have I used EX-ST against a meaty fireball only to have it hit me anyways.
I really dont see why you guys are complaining. He was in the air already, making the hit from the ultra make him fly higher. Had he been on the ground, it would have most likely juggled. He was higher up even than if you do the launcher. Its still all possible.
lets just hope his U1 connects after blocked blanka balls
You could probably use Splendid Claw to counter Blanka Balls too. It seems to do more damage as well. Who knows right now though.

Might have been hard to pick up but that was what I was saying. I adopted an inquisitive tone (again, hard to pick up in plain text) as I was questioning HeaTBlazns’ knowledge on the move. I main Vega so, yeah, I know.
Blanka is definitely a matchup where SC will be the superior ultra to use. More damage and will probably be able to punish the same stuff.
Does anyone know if they lessened to recovery of Blanka’s slide? If not you could probably SC that on reaction, maybe.
I obviously meant midscreen =P and on hit like if blanka upballs on wake up
and that it doesnt knock blanka too high for the U1 ultra to whiff.

it really looks like vega got a laundry list of changes and there might be even more when we actually get to put some time in with the game. I was almost going to drop vega, but damn they really made him much better.
