as long as they use the original english voices of tekken for them, im fine if they want to go that extra mile by adding 2 set of voices for the chars

I really don’t get it why a few guys hate on the idea of Poison being in the game so much. Enough to come up with “explanations” as why she shouldn’t be in it.

The Final Fight and Street Fighter universe are one and the same. Before SFII was SFII it was an FF game first, and most of all its iconic characters became a part of SF one way or the other. While the major are all almost all represented in fighting game form, and probably the only reason why Haggar didn’t make the jump early was Zangief already filling his role. With the exception of one, Poison, which is the original female fighter representation (you can ignore the whole he/she/it if you want, call whatever you like, just remember the change was forced upon the game) of FF.

If you are old enough to have played FF and enjoyed the many games born within its genre thanks to its success or even during the SFIII era, you might understand that Poison is an iconic videogame character.

Other than that, Poison would be a whole new character in a fighting game, with a whole new set of moves and gameplay archetype and endless possibilities for a fun new FG character without alienating the public. An entirely new character can flop and cause major headaches in the future (MGS2 Raiden, the new Dante, the first incarnation of inFAMOUS 2’s Cole, etc.), according to Ono himself Juri wasn’t well received in Korea. The whole SFIII cast was victim of that, it took almost 10 years for the hardcore to accept then and the casuals still won’t know who the hell is Necro by the time 3SO hits the online markets’ shelves. Poison already has a lot going since we are talking about a classic and recognizable design.

I blame most of the blind hate to immaturity and to failing to see the big picture of things.

Hey, Raiden made up for it in MGS4. But MGS2 was just a whole crapton of freaky. I think they did the only thing they could for that game…

New Dante was just stupid when the old one was just fine.

I know I’m going into Trollno territory here but I remembered when he did make a couple of tweets hinting that he suggested to put Poison in.

Anyways so speculah tiem

That ninja-like stage belongs to Heihachi but it would be weird showing off his stage and a remix of his old T2 theme before announcing him. :V

Dude… I’m not even hating on Poison and I don’t think anyone else is.

Like I said before, she’s an iconic **background **Capcom character.
Let her do her damn job.

Better to have her appearing in Marvel 3’s Final Fight stage to not appear at all.

Why do I find this very hard to believe…?

Source?

If anything, the inclusion of Poison in fighting game (sans Final Fight Revenge) is LONG overdue.

I think Final Fight deserves another character in *Marvel vs. Capcom 3 *that aren’t Cody or Guy nor Rolento. Save him for Capcom vs. SNK 3.

Even if they don’t want to redesign the bars, they can at least give them a bit more contrast so that they’re easier to read.

Compare this slight tweak I made:

I do NOT hate Poison. I just think he/she should not make a debut in a CROSSOVER game dedicated to having fan faourites from SF and TK beating eachother senseless. Poison is NOT a Street Fighter, and thus should stay out.

Besides, can Poison even fight? All I know is that he/she is Hugo’s manager.

But still not as epic as landing it after full parrying Chun’s SA2 in EVO Moment #37.

She was a playable fighter in Final Fight Revenge, and she was stated to be playable in Capcom Fighting All Stars.

But let’s just drop this subject. I understand your point, all I’m arguing about is eligibility not that she must/needs to be in.

I really hope Poison gets in now GODLIKE tier.

Mike Ross (Cammy,Sagat) vs Maximilian (Ken,Kaz)

if dhalsim ends up in this game, i think guile/dhalsim would be a powerful team. those characters are naturally good at keeping people out, but in addition, this games juggle mechanics will allow them to turn their normal move anti-airs and random pokes into potentially medium/big damage combos. guiles c.fierce, j.rh, s.jab, and blade kick, along with dhalsim b.rh, b.strong, b.jab, and ex up-flame now all become combo starters.
plus from that vid, it looks like you can cancel reversals into tag, which i think is a bad idea. that’ll mean you can wakeup reversal dp>tag making them completely safe, unless the incoming tagged-in partner can be punished before blockstun is over.

From Ono’s Twitter when someone asked him about future Juri appearances in May 20th.

And yes Vyomesh, Poison can fight, just like Hugo/Andore, Poison was a regular enemy in the original Final Fight. You can purchase on PSN/Live and see it yourself.

I wouldn’t necessarily have a problem with Poison getting in, but not at the expense of another highly demanded and already established character.

GImme Karin cruse it all.

Dial those guys up at Capcom, tell them to refund Cole McGrath and replace him with poison. I enjoyed the infamous games but not in my fighting games. NIMBY.

Which you can now replicate in SFIII: Third Strike Online’s Parry Trials. Pretty epic. I always thought Shippu Jinraikyaku looked cool, just saying the extra camera changes and stuff make it look extra cool.

Eff what Korea thinks!

Besides, I recall reading something in some gaming sites about her being considered the best new character in the series.

Juri is more popular than Yun in arcade AE. Eff what Korea thinks indeed.

Juri’s crazy psycho bitch personality is the only stereotype SF hadn’t explored before she was made. Juri and Hakan were both just great ideas.
