Chun should never had become a charge character.

Same for Abel, making him a Charge character hurts the soul.

I honestly think Chun + best Tekken character will be the top tier of this game lol. To simply things Chun’s footsies and pokes > everyone else and as soon as you get hit by a poke hello Lighting Legs which ='s tag cancel which is than followed by some big ass Tekken combo.

As for Abel isn’t only 1 move of his a charge move? His new move which is his focus attack animation to be precise.

What about Abel is charge now?

Some new attack reusing his focus attack animation from SFIV.

it’s pretty much Uriens Chariot Tackle

Oh that charge tackle thing? Well that’s just a new move isn’t it? Oh and I think his super is a charge as well but as long as that’s it he should play pretty much exactly the same, unless the tackle is THAT good.

The data I posted shows life time sales not shipment but I see the point you’re trying to make. However don’t you think the success of MK9 piggy backed off the audience current gen fighting games built and that’s why it has the most impressive first month sales along with better marketing in the US?

There’s no way MVC3 sold 2 million copies, it did 790k in the US and dropped off quicker than you could say “Fuck X-Factor Sentinel” (cuz that’s what casuals were saying…). Sold like 150k best in Japan and flopped everywhere else, nearly every company tries to pass off their shipped numbers as sold.

And yeah MK9 benefited a lot from the big marketing push from Warner, but MK9 was in the Top 10 NPD for like 5 months. Capcom really need to step it up for SFxT, that means no redrapper tv ad, actually do a proper campaign. Spend some money to make money.

Life time world wide sales and I mean the source is there to back it up unless you think Capcom is lying.

I agree with your second point.

Really? I thought the Redrapper ad for the 3DS version of SSFIV was good. At the same time though, I feel as though MK9 only sold well because it’s more for casual gamers. Lots of single player stuff, two player co-op fights, challenge mode, etc.

i didnt mention chun li’s motion change because i didnt think it was all that important and common knowledge… if thats is…then hugo’s moves are simplified too…Cammy’s hooligan and tigerknee are simplified. but i thought this kind of thing would be discussed in the individual character threads…Oh well

anyways SFxTK will sell decently well, im not sure on the figures for MVC3, i know i bought my collectors edition, and everyone i know with a system has a copy of the game…so idk, obviously it sold well enough for them to listen to the community and making UMVC3 so quickly.

i dont want this thread to go about bickering about sales for a game thats yet to come out…

All it takes to sell a game is advertisement. If Capcom wants this game to sell, all they have to do is get Red Rapper to do more ads and get more photo-shopped spray-paint on their flyers.

No more sales talk plz. I’ll just say that as a life long fighting game fan long before SF4, that MK9 is a good game and sold well because it was a better package than what its competition was. Funny how scramble mode in a capcom game is now happening after MK9 had a similar mode hmm? No its because Capcom loves you guys .

On Topic: Would you guys prefer Gems to change things like the Main menu screen and the player select screen? Or Have it change things like character outfits and character abilities like making a rushdown character more keepaway and vice-versa AH3 style?

I thought the AH3 system was one of the most impressive ones I’ve seen in years even though I never played it much. The only game with as many cool ideas like that is maybe skullgirls and Capcom getting more creative is nothing to be afraid of imo.

I’m pretty sure that sodom should get whip lash just from whipping his hair so much…

NO i’m sure capcom said they sold 2 mill and that was after they said they shipped 2mill copies. If it didn’t capcom would let you know it sold bad, like lost planet 2 and darkvoid when not meeting expectatins. Someone did post the sales numbers and unless capcom is lying about their numbers for once its spot on especially brawls numbers lol.

back and forth…

Capcom had this kind of mode before. The Dreamcast port of MvC1 had fever mode and functioned in the same manner.

No its not funny because capcom actually had dramatic battle in sfa3 and sfex3. Now they have a tag game that like sfex3 had and there using it again like they did in the past. The real reason mvc3 didn’t sale as well as it should have is because of its roster, nobody really would have cared how barebones it was if they’d have gotten strider, megaman, etc. I think MK vs DC sold more than mvc3 and it for certain wasn’t a better game not even as a cross-over game.

Im sure Gems are selectable at the character selection screen…but im kinda tired at guessing what exactly it does…
