And that isn’t a BNB, that’s just the magic series in this game. People are still figuring out combos, but there are quite a few examples of more creative things.

Sorry thats what I meant (more or less). I mean I even saw a video of Mike Ross playing SFxT and he was just doing the magic series, tag, magic series. It’s just that it got boring after awhile. I think this is the best gameplay I’ve seen since you can see more than just magic series combos, Sagat countering Ryu’s j.HK, as well as the Poison/Nina player punishing almost every raw tag.

So far this looks like a good mix of SF and TK gameplay. I’m surprised it’s turning out this well thus far.

People need to chill on the whole “magic series” thing. Last I checked, games with those were some of the deepest fighters ever made (VSav, MvC2).

From my point of veiw, playing the PAX build, the “simplified” commands work because instead of worrying about execution you can focus on things more important. i mean even with chain combos, combos and juggles still drop, and getting the timing down will take abit of practice especially when your doing air to air juggles and extended combos using tag cancels. the commands fit this game.

Not really since I didnt really follow it pre-release but I get where you’re coming from.

why nerfed? not alot of people are even close to being broken. if anyone is going to be balanced it’ll be newer announced characters because they had no prior feed back on those characters.

I was making fun of the way they balanced SF4 over the years.

that is true~ though.
but i think its because they never really have playable builds of the finished product for a month or two before release and ultimately that leads to people like Desk finding all these glitches and bugs with the game. no doubt Desk is going to pick apart this game and potentially change the way its played to some extent.

Honestly, only reason why characters feel nerfed in AE is due to the twins. Some where actually buffed (Cammy got new, more damaging, less strict BnBs also, Fei LOL).

Besides, the fact that they’ve heavily scaled straight up Cross Rush combos shows that they want to encourage folks to be creative.

Yeah meterless Cross Rush combos are very weak on their own, could rarely get over 20%. Once me and my cousin got the hang of tag cancelling mid combo, we were hitting 30%+ combos pretty easily, and this was after 3 or 4 games

imo Cross Rush will end up like Aerial tags in MvC3. Noobs will swear by it, while decent players will hold it off outside of meter gain purposes and if they need the tag without using up meter

After seeing this footage, holy FUCKING SHIT this game is looking FINE.

LOL @ thinking cammy got buffed. The only people I ever hear that are players that hated losing to her in super (because they mash throw tech 24/7) trying to rationalize the nerfs to cammy players. Not saying that’s you, but in no way did the Net differences in her tweaks sum up to a buff. All I have to do is ask people which cammy they’d rather play against…everyone says AE.

Sorry for the quick tangent LOL. I’m with the previous poster on cross rush, i don’t see it being used out of meterless tag combos unless people come up with character specific stuff, or say ur 2nd character has a phat setup on the opponent on knockdown, you’ll want to switch out for that.
