Jin and d.Jin are two different characters. What’s dumb is that panda has his own spot and there’s not one difference between the bears.
Still, ttt2 looks like it has far more depth than the pile of crap Ono is putting out (sfxt).
Panda is a female.
Also, there’s no reason why they can’t make distinctive playstyles for the two bears. They did it for Eddy/Christie, Nina/Anna, and all the other character arcetypes. Back in my day, Kuma, Jack, and Ganryu pretty much played the same.
But this ain’t the TTT2 thread so I digress.
So we can pretty much confirm the 4 shotos, and the 3 mishimas. What other female will be put on the Tekken side? I’m thinking Leo.

Yeah, that’s the reason for my confusion. I was thinking Leo had been confirmed as being female or something like that.
I got the special edition of Tekken with the art book, and it’s been a while, but I believe Leo was listed under the Male section.

Um, eddy/Christie play the same because they’re ‘swaps’ in t6 and tt2, like panda/ kuma. I heard over at tz, panda may go back to kuma’s slot. Hope so.

Hmm? I thought BamCo or Harada confirmed that Leo was meant to be a “genderless” character, hence the reason they can use certain male only and female only items (sledgehammer, pigtail).
Also, the TTT2 trailer has Leo on the female side. More trolling by BamCo?

Just gonna jump off-topic to say in T6, Eddy and Christie have seperate slots. I’m hoping that’s a deal with Kuma and Panda as I always hated the fact that two distinctive characters would share the same slot when they’re not the same characters.

Actually, Harada stated that Leo was a girl back in '07. However, it seems that they figured out that the gender ambiguity was what made the character popular. So it might be that the listing of Leo as a guy in the artbook is simply to counteract Harada’s earlier statements.
That said, we can probably take this, plus the fact that the TTT2 trailer has Leo on the girls side as Namco further continuing the ambiguity. In other words, we’ll never get a definite answer (and any answers they give will be purposely contradictory).
Which brings us back on topic, Leo vs Poison in SFxT, you know you want it.
If Harada said she’s a girl, then she’s a girl. Don’t have patience for manufactured ambiguity. At least the Poison thing has legit history behind the confusion.
I wonder if we would get T3 or Tag Jin or T4 style… I like the idea of Just Frame Laser Scraper like in T4, I know many people hated it but it made the life of lesser skilled players, aka me, easier. I need stuff to abuse, like a Guile SSFIV/T4 Jin combo.

I wonder how her gameplay is going to look like. Julia is by far the most “normal” Tekken character, with conventional moves and barely any flashy moves.
