TS, are you really surprised by this?

Sure is a lot of entitlement OP. Stay mad

The way Mass Effect 3 is handling their DLC is pure bullshit

Fuck this! I remember back before SFIV came out, a large amount of DLC discussion was focused, not on the cost, but on whether it would split the online community. In the end, everyone agreed that it was a better deal than having CE style updated releases just as long as folks without DLC would be able to play against folks with DLC. So now that we know that we can avoid that issue, I find it annoying that folks are starting shit all over this.

oh no, capcom is going to add 12 more characters
what a fucking horrible thing
i hate when game developers make things and sell it to me. awful. in fact, they should have taken half of the cast away and released the game 6 months ago. greedy cunts

Why should I wait to play a game that’s looks to be pretty good from my pov. Just because of DLC or a potential new version? lmao. I’m just glad the new characters are confirmed. I can wait to play those characters since well we got enough at launch. Unlike some other upcoming game with less than 15. As long as the DLC isn’t like BBCS prices for one character I’m straight.

Cashcow strikes again.

You people are taking this too seriously, you already know how they work and they know how their fanbase works, sorry but this happens because people allows them, Activision/Blizzard (CoD Elite, expensive map packs, overpriced digital products for WoW) and EA (ME3 DLC) are other examples of this.

And that’s because the people will buy the games and the DLC anyways, the same way when people bitched in Mass Effect 3 when the blondie was the main model or the morons complaining about the LAN options in SC2.

You already have 43 characters in the game, you should be more worried about the gameplay than anything else.

With all being said, I’m defintely looking forward to SFxTekken Full roster & gem edition lets get HYPE!!! for Lei Wulong!!!

Hell yes people allow companies to sell them more shit after launch.

why are people upset about this anyway? i feel like the concern over launch on-disc dlc has somehow spilled over to where a bunch of people have this kneejerk reaction of hating all dlc for no discernible reason and considering it “greedy”. meanwhile, games cost a ton more to make but are still $50-60. I guess i’d rather see graphics get cut than dlc be seen necessary, but whatever.

I love this dude he always tells it how it is and doesn’t bullshit.

Are you talking about when AE came out?

Nope, way before AE came out.

Are we talking pre-Vanilla?

day one buy because of everything in the game, from tons of game modes to choose from this is FAR from a rip off,and for people waiting for a super duper upper sfxtk you guys will be waiting forever imo heck I will be buying it on ps3/360 and the vita version,I wasnt a fan of sf4 overall but this game is gonna be so sick and one of the if not the only fighter with cod perks aka gems

i preordered the standard edition to get some gems and if some turn out to be way better than the rest i might buy them later, but when the 12 characters are available for dlc i’m definately buying them. also think this game looks like lots of fun

amish your avatar is hot

all i care about is getting blanka !!!

im hold out on purchasing this game as long as possible. In a few months maybe I’ll buy it used online (if the game is good) & pick up the DLC.

roxashd9999: You are the best.
My feeling is that if you have discretionary income, this is probably a Day 1 buy for historical reasons alone; however, if you are any kind of fixed or limited income, I would very much wait and see how the game develops within the first month or so. I say this because right now, today, there is still so much up in the air about this game, and there is just no way to state with any confidence how the game will be received, or in what form it will carry on as a tournament game. There is a solid chance that this game will be good out of the box, and there will be no worries…however, there is also the chance that it will be a hot mess, and go on as a novelty 2vs2 game for it’s lifespan as a relevant game. It’s just not worth taking the leap of faith right now, unless you are ok with eating the money; at the minimum, wait until Wiz and Evo have their say before making a choice.

Yep.

Then it really has no relation to this discussion; that was totally in the abstract this is Capcom putting their cards on the table, and each of us will have to make a decision on how we feel about it. What I think will happen is before the game is released, we are going to get an announcement from Capcom that these DLC characters will be offered post-launch in whatever format (four packs?) at a certain price point, and people will have a black and white equation if they want to play the ‘complete’ game; that is a lot different from a pre-Vanilla discussion of ‘if the game is updated, how would you like it done?,’ which it sounds like you are talking about. Besides, you are stretching it beyond reason when you try to equate updating a game online to how Capcom is handling this DLC; this isn’t Capcom improving the game over time, this is a sales strategy to extend their time to make profit off of the game. I’m not hating on them, just calling a spade a spade.
