If you are talking about SF like combos Electro there are combos like that in this game but there won’t be much use for them because you have launchers. I’d rather have a game like this where it doesn’t limit how many combos i can make up than having to do the same 2-4 combos.
Let’s start with improving the basics-
Make the fireballs 2X stronger in damage and chip.
Make throws have better range, 0 frame startup, better damage and remove the OS tech.
nah not talking about combos, talking about added gameplay element for example advanced guard and stuff. I feel that the game can expand in terms of style. Doesn’t necessarily need it but would be cool if they did.
They did remove crouch tech os… No need to buff fireball and throw dmg…
Mmm. No arguments there.
You want we should start compiling a list that I can shoot off to Seth/Sven?
Actually, instead of buffing FB damage how about reducing recovery, so that zoning characters can defend against Kaz wavedashing in.
…
throw range were not good in SF3 but dashes were amazing so throw was still strong cause of dash.
- Why would they listen to us?
- If you want the list to be of real quality and not full of crap, this open forum is not the place to compile it.
You couldn’t really dash throw in SF4 cuz mash crouching jab was so strong, and in this game where every normal can lead to a juggle, once again you won’t be able to dash throw in a neutral game.
An extremely bad idea that goes against the very basic planning of SF moves.
In the SF2 series they did a lot more damage and chip anyway. It’s not some new wacky idea, but a tested and approved one.
True but I think the tekken character might be able to with less risk then the sf character only cause their dash has little recovery. Probably gonna test it out next time.
Edit: or at least Kazuya can.
I dunno, they did it for 3SO. We compiled a list of bugs that were keeping the game from being arcade perfect and I forwarded it Sven who then forwarded it to Goryus.
from what Ive seen the sf characters (the zoning ones) need something kazuya can get in like nothing I cant really say since I havent played it my self but how much dmg does LMH tag LMH does I mean thats a real basic combo I think this game is good actually needs afew things fixed I like the pace of the game looks much faster than sf4 which is a good thing
I think for the most part the chains are fine. They just need some reason for you to not want to go to LMHH LMH special every time. Personally, I think they should make combos starting with lights scale much harder than those that don’t ala blazblue and maybe make it so that launchers have reduced scaling as well.
I think the 2nd part would make it so that people that are new to the game can still get their simple combos, and the people that took the time to and develop their characters are rewarded for their effort. Sure, from there it’ll probably still come down to LMH special tag cancel LMH special etc. etc. but at least we get a bit more variety in combos that way as well as not everyone fishing for a single jab into huge damage.
If these combos ends up being the most effective it sucks out alot of the game’s life cycle with it. If we’re all going to be doing the same combo in the end, figuring that out much earlier takes that piece of the pie out of the picture. Is that an inherent flaw of the game? Well, no not really, but then everything else falls into place all that much faster. We’ll figure out who can get to these combos the best faster, who has the best options after these combos, and so on.
And honestly it makes shit pretty boring. You can make execution easier but this is pushing it.
We’ll see how you ‘open up’ people in this game. It’s too early to say you anything in that regard.
I didn’t say it was limited, I said that all the systems in place are just that. They’re there because they can be instead of feeling like they work with one another seamlessly.
I mean cross assault is a fucking stupid god damn idea and every 14 year old Homestuck loving hipster on the planet is going to eat that shit up.
Oh well~
yeah they are gonna have to at least show us a reason to not go LMH launch all the time because it would get pretty stale but then again I think the public hasnt really tried alot of other combos and stuff
god yes
Why?
How about making it so that Tag Cancelled moves are scaled less and not using any for of tag in your combo has almost no scaling at all?
That sounds like it could work. Basically what I feel we just need is an incentive to learn more than just LMHH and be rewarded for it and I’m sure there’s plenty of ways to do that.without screwing it up.
My concern in the topic is this. When people speak of “depth” What do you guys think? I hear people talking about it, and tossing it around like nuts. But is there a solid idea to the meaning used by all of us? None the less I wanna hear some Idea’s as well, i’d like to to continue on the topic of the game by adding this. Let’s say that Capcom listens to us, and hear out our suggestions. What would they be? Something the community can Agree as a WHOLE. Meaning both sides of the gamers that Capcom is trying to reach with their games. I’d like to see this happen. Were arguing about things here that are already in play why not try and change the course of this with some solid backgrounds.
Well it’s two fold. Some will focus on the types of combos you can put out. Other will focus on getting in, the footsies, spacing, etc.
