It is a PC centric event so it wouldn’t surprise me if they played on PC.
Are you on XBL? I play a lot of akuma and since his section is dead, it’d be nice to toss ideas back and forth with someone.
I finally got to play Jibbo in this game yesterday. Very humbling lol
It can definitely be humbling! I do feel like I’m learning a lot though, which is always good.
What is with people hating on capcom soo much not only did they built the fgc but revived it also. Whats so wrong with capcom? And how many other 2d fighters by other companies are actually made well? And so what if they charge for more chars kof and blaz charged money too kof I think even cost more or better yet if u don’t like it don’t buy it or don’t play it nobody’s making u do anything
Also rokin u said u going to devastation,x are u from az?
But all I am saying is…every game has a degree of silly in it. This is X Tekken’s! But you’re right, we should right it off as training, as no tournament will allow assist gems.
This is an excellent article/interview with Ono that everyone should probably read if they haven’t already.
It is sad, but very informative and it also explains a lot towards some of the current attitudes.
It solidified my position that the company “Capcom” has indeed had some amazing talent who are responsible for some of my favorite characters over the years…
Right now though they really are VERY out of touch with fans of the Street Fighter characters and franchises. (as well as decent labor practices it sounds like)
Nah man, pretty sure its all about Yoshimitsu.
I didn’t buy it for Ryu, thats for sure. And I play tekken and SC, both of which are generally agreed upon to be solid games. Both of those involve yoshi.
So yeah… no… Yoshimitsu.
You’re wrong, it’s all Hugo’s fault… Poison also! F’ you Crapcom!
Patch arrives today? Rolento’s time travelling is at an end… The glitch came back frequently in my case, like 0 times. Good riddance though!
Made me wonder on how did Ono ruin the Street Fighter franchise while he was one of the contributors of its revival in the first place.
@Labor practice
I always thought CAPCOM is a fun company to work for. Boy, am I wrong.
Nah, I play on PC. Sorry.
Though, I’ve been playing more AE recently, since I’m still waiting for the PC patch to drop. I do still hop on Street Fighter X Tekken a lot though to practice combos and try to find new tech; one of the many things I really like about the game.
Also, after playing with the twins some more in AE, I wonder how they’d be in Street Fighter X Tekken? They seem like a perfect tag team. And speaking of the PC patch…isn’t the Rolento patch supposed to come out today? Did it fix anything, and/or did it add any more glitches?
Gah, typing all this on a 3DS is annoying. :annoy:
Capcom overworking their devs is standard Japanese business practice. They run their companies like clockwork and make sure that everything is done with maximum efficiency, but they have no sympathy for workers who skip a day, even if it’s a family emergency. It’s “take one for the better of the company” over “the employees come first.”
I’m surprised Ono came clean about that while still under contract, so if he gets dismissed for this interview, I wonder where he’ll wind up. Bamco? SNK? ArkSys?
He might join Inafune’s company.
stupid shit at its finest, if people are dumb enough to believe this crap, no wonder why they are happy to swallow garbage like sfxt
“We used to do those dance moves to make fun of guys when we were kids to show them how queer they were”
I guess on one hand, that is Capcom Japan we’re talking about. Japanese business practices are kinda known for being ruthless.
That said, Capcom’s situation seems especially stressing, and it helps explain why their top talent leaves. Hopefully if Ono does the same, he gets to work on something he wants fighting-game wise that flourishes. That would be the ultimate “F-U”.
Also have this feeling we’re done seeing anything fighting-game related for a while from Capcom. Which is fine so long as other companies continue to provide good games and don’t suddenly abandon the FG ship (not that they did before, the dreaded “drought” I still feel was over-exaggerated).
Yessir! Right outside of Ahwatukee right now, though I’m heading like three blocks down to Tempe again in a couple months, lmao. I would go to the Hazmat ranbats but they usually happen on Saturdays, and I work on my projects on Saturdays. -_-
Still will try to pop in at least once or twice though, part of it is laziness.
I salute you. Love my 3DS and all but no way will I type a post that long on it. :razzy:
Well, I guess you can call me dedicated then.
Also, I’ve been playing some more Sakura and Cody in AE…I’m starting to think that that’s not a good idea, because it’s making me more and more desperate to get my hands on them in SF X TK…they’re just so fun to play as!
It’s not just a problem at Capcom nor is it just one in Japan. Making games is a rough business and most people underestimate that (or they wouldn’t call devs lazy). And I wouldn’t just blame ‘the management’. In my experience once you look closer you’ll notice that everyone tries to ‘do the right thing’. The “(game developer) is just greedy, at (other developer) I would get so much more for the same money”-justification of consumer-entitlement for example is just as much part of the problem for me as management-decisions. This is the only reason I actually accept having to pay for the 12 DLC-characters (not for gems though, they were dead for me once the last bunch of packs was announced): as long as Capcom is willing to pay a bunch of people to keep working on the game after release, it’s fair for me to pay them at some point.
On another note I’m a little disappointed of the treatment at tournament-streams recently as well. Not that I’m entitled to demand anything, it’s just a little sad if the finals are replaced by two guys reciting week-1-issues with the game, while Justin practices combos in training mode (not sure what happened there, so I’m not going to blame anyone for this). The last time I saw it though, it looked like timeouts for example hardly happened outside of very specific matchups (if you play Zangief/Guile you’re asking for it), so there actually seems to be development.
So SFxT is coming to iPhone
But not 3DS
why.jpg
Um did they not make ST like the most played fg ever did they not invent combos, did they not invent supers. Iirc the dude that made snk fgs worked on sf first. And when the scene was dying did they not give us sf4. Iam confused tell me where iam wrong instead of just saying iam dumb because truthfully u make urself sound dumb.
@roknin that’s tight but how far from phx are u? And ya I just got a new job and they have me workin every sat now so I can’t make them anymore . U know this is the last ranbat right?
I’ve been wondering this myself. I think it’s partly because it’s already coming to the vita.
Though now that I think about it, I think it might have been smarter to port the game to the 3DS instead of the Vita (or alongside it). Namely because, I think, it would sell better on the 3DS. I’m not talking about one handheld being “better” than the other; I’m referring to the “install base.” The 3DS itself has already sold about 7 million units (I think, someone correct me if I’m wrong), so that’s already a ton of people to sell the game to. Not only that, but Super Street Fighter 4 3D edition has sold over 1 million copies, and I bet that a lot of those people would be willing to purchase Street Fighter X Tekken as well.
On that note, that might be why they’re porting it to the iPhone; there are millions of people who use that device.
