Yeah, that would make sense. I believe the costume swaps are DLC, which wouldn’t sell for shit if you could just customize your characters with items and shit anyways.

Since it did say “swap”, why are you ruling out that those characters aren’t in the game? They could possibly be. Is King in the last picture supposed to be Alex? o_O That headdress looks amazing!

Also, check out kavitee’s link earlier to the jp site, it has story for each costume swap. For example, Hugo and Poison are swapped with Ganryu and Devil Jin.

Everyone on Eventbubs seems to think the “Swap” in “Swap Costumes” implicitly means the corresponding character is in the game, yet to be confirmed. (IE, Steve’s alt means Charlie Nash is in).
While I’m not nearly ready to believe that, it DOES give me a little hope for a few of my favorites. What does everyone else think?
It sounds like they dug deep to find some cosplay outfits from both sides. And not all of them will be playable.
I was hoping the outfits were unlockables for some sort of character editor like Tekken is known for, but it looks like they are just the first DLC outfit pack.
