Well, they finally confirmed that the 4th gem slot was indeed a mistake. There was a thread on Capcom Unity asking if they could bring back the 4th gem slot DLC, and Combofiend responded:

Sven is no longer with Capcom. As for the fourth gem slot, it was mistakenly made available to European owners of the game as a free download from the European PlayStation Store.

Just so you know, during Street Fighter X Tekken’s development phase we considered allowing users to increase the number of Gem Slots and created the relevant content, but based on community feedback following the game’s release it was determined to maintain the original three slots. Unfortunately, the content that enabled a fourth Gem Slot was still provided to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) who then made it available through no fault of their own. Once we saw that it mistakenly released, we had the content removed from the European PlayStation Store, but not before a number of users downloaded it.

Moving forward, official Capcom tournaments will continue to run utilizing only three Gem Slots.

More sfxt pushing from eventhubs huh? They just know ppl will click on anything PR related regarding sfxt…so it’s easy hits.

And I’m really not surprised. Even Eventhubs’ writers seem to be pretty biased against the game.

^ agreed, you would have to be the biggest anti-sfxt person to downplay any of the sfxt matches at TFC. Jibbo making raw launchers look natural as fuck.

Not to down-play Jibbo at all (his reads, pressure, and overall game were amazing from the matches I saw), but it’s easier to make raw launchers look natural when Jin’s gives you a safe tag if it gets blocked.

How’s the online scene for ps3? I mainly play marvel (on xbox) so I know lag can become an issue, is it terrible on ps3? I have several friends who I will be playing it offline with, but am hoping that online will be decent at least.

As long as neither player has bad intrrnet ps3 is decent enough. Most of the better players there either stick to endless or only play on request. Lots of low to mid range ppl tho.

They ignored the uploads by ssf4evo, they ignored Sethlolol vs Infiltration and they will also ignore tfc top 8. I don’t know what has to happen. Shoving it down their throats on the mainstream might do it.

Capcom Cup with handpicked players has the potential to be pretty awesome.

Capcom run, Capcom stream, Capcom announcers, with SF4 and Marvel along to get people watching.

No way EH or SRK can bury that news.

After giving it some thought and doing some research, I think I may have to work on a complete Kuma video tutorial in the near future. All of the ones I could find on YT were either outdated, incomplete, or had tons of misinformation. Now I just need to get a better (read: HD) capture device…

Cool. I have seen some pretty good Poison players’ matches lately and have some inspiration, and I’ve even seen some new tricks as well (such as setups for F + MP corpse hopping, etc.). So that’s why I got the idea. SSF4evo’s matches with HDJammers and KyosukeNEO were really fun to watch!

Guy, Duds and Elena pages updated. Working on Sakura next after work. I also linked to zUkUu’s frame data guide for each individual character at the bottom of the pages.

I would like some help in the analysis department - the bit at the top of each page - if peeps want to do small write-ups for them.

Agreed, there needs to be more Poison knowledge out there. I think she’s way underrated because of a couple of oddities in her playstyle and being surprisingly not very flashy (basically a midscreen zoner with some fairly normal-looking moves) or having a lot of crazy OH ground bounce OMG KO stuff to it.

Agreed, there needs to be more Poison knowledge out there. I think she’s way underrated because of a couple of oddities in her playstyle and being surprisingly not very flashy (basically a midscreen zoner with some fairly normal-looking moves) or having a lot of crazy OH ground bounce OMG KO stuff to it.

Wouldn’t mind helping. I just gotta get my bearings on studying and stuff. I just enrolled in my old school which has facility for me to do my exams again so I’m trying to get my bearings sorted out on that.

Interesting. It’s like our roles have switched in a way, I have a tonne of work this time around and you, not as much. Unless I’ve completely got it all wrong, assumptions assumptions.

But yeah I wouldn’t mind helping you in updating the wiki.

Going to tourneys with SFxT and making dat hype. I the Wolf vs Jibbo was match was interesting. Guess Wolf didn’t study up on Sagat throws enough. Actually I urge everyone to study every characters throws. Because some are tons more useful then others.

SFxT hate on Eventhubs is like Miley Cyrus’s ass in the newspaper. Everyone hates it but they LOVE to hate it. As much as they bitch about it they’re the first to read about it and eyeballs = cheddar.
