SFV PS4 legacy controller compatible sticks/PCBs (see first post)

Thanks a lot, appreciate it.

My PS3 MadCatz VS Edition stick does not work with SFV on PS4. Haven’t tried other games.

I can confirm that the original '09 Mad Catz TE stick is compatible with SFV on PS4. As mentioned above, stick HAS to be in “DP” mode to work (that was my mistake)
Sorry for any confusion. Thanks loads to @d3v @mR_CaESaR @Darksakul for their help

Okay so I play on PC but I rented sfv for ps4 since my brother has ps4 and tested legacy support on his Qanba Q4 ice red version this one:http://www.eightarc.com/qanba-q4-ice-red/ and it worked fine.

We also tested the Zero Delay USB PCB that I put in my stick from focus attack this one:http://www.focusattack.com/ps3-pc-zero-delay-usb-encoder-pcb-japan-style-controls/

And it worked as well, although I did notice that the x and o buttons were swapped. Light kick was cancel instead of being accept and medium kick was accept. I have little experience with ps4 so maybe circle is accept and x is cancel now, could be that too. But both sticks worked fine.

Have the latest PS360+ in my TE Round 2. Detects as a legacy controller just fine, but today it “timed out” twice after about an hour of play, which requires going into the options and setting it up as a legacy controller again. Happened both times during ranked matches. Fuck. Anyone else have this issue?

Ugh now its doing it every ten minutes. I wonder if a 2.0 usb hub would fix this. My PS360+ works fine in 8 minute time-out mode and perfectly on all my other systems.

I have used the PS360+ in legacy without any problems using the following steps:

  1. Plug your Dual Shock 4 controller into a USB port on the PS4 (I believe your legacy controller/stick disconnects if your DS4 disconnects, so this prevents the DS4 from being auto-disconnected/turned off)
  2. Open Other Settings and open “P1 Legacy Controller Authentication”
  3. While holding 1P(LP) plug your stick to the other USB port on the PS4 (This forces PS3 mode, ensuring that the stick doesn’t go into 8min PS4 mode)
  4. That should be it!

TL;DR: Plug in your DS4 to keep it from turning off, then plug in your stick while holding 1P to force PS3 mode.

Thanks man I’ll give that a try tonight.

This is great info, thanks.

Someone tried if street fighter TE:S work or not? Thanks

as it states in the title… read the first post.

Even though it was implied just wanted to confirm that the Toodles PS3 only Cthulhu works no issues.

I just picked up the same hub but mine is branded as Insgnia. I give it a few play throughs before I report further.

Hori Fighting Stick 3 for the ps3 works ok.

Keeping the DS4 plugged in did the trick for me. It must lose sync for a microsecond or something here and there when in wireless mode, which causes the legacy controller to drop off and not reconnect. Thanks man.

Aah!!! The one time I ship something to my home vs. work and it gets lost in the mail yesterday!!! Was looking forward to trying mine out last night.

I think my mailman has a PS4 :naughty:

Confirmed by another forum member the Hori Fighting Stick V3 does not work

Is it in “DP” mode? not LS or RS?

I would have thought the VS stick is a very similar PCB (if not the same) as the TE/TES. I’ve never used or modded a V.S so I’m purely speculating

brawl stick works, just tested it.

Thanks to all that have assisted with this by providing input.
Will continue to check and confirm and I am sure we will need to revisit this as the game is patched.
