It just seemed like too much of a coincidence for Tomoshoryuken to play as Ryu and have amazing spacing, solid footsies, well placed jumps, and very little use of meter (because he really didn’t need it). I got beat on basics, which sounds all too Tomo-ish to me. I agree that Punk’s basic fundamentals are solid like Tomo’s too.

Yeah that’s him. He’s within the top 30 Cammys in ranked. He plays pretty solidly and knows when to go on defense better than some of the other Cammys who just push the pedal until they win or lose.
Yeah it’s those small situations that count. Vs like a Plat or Super Plat in that same situation you’d probably have more health to survive or you would have understood they are really mashy on wake up and blocked the DP. When you fight against grand masters though you have to have that knowledge locked ready to go that they can DP despite how bad you want to get in and win.
I highly doubt it. Even though Ryu plays kinda differently in this game I would imagine he would be of higher rank or would do some things that that guy wouldn’t have done from what I’m seeing on his CFN.
Against Alex dont worry about the dive much. If you are anti airing and they do dive ok fine you’ll take one dive and then you’ll know to just go air to air with j.MP ex legs or air throw them. The dive has terrible start up and terrible on block so its a huge gamble. Good Alexes generally only do it if they have a huge read on your AA patterns or more often use it to get out of the corner. Otherwise it’s way risky for them. If they do one real early in the match they’re a nut and you can just block and expect them to do it again.
I usually just walk up to Akumas to force them into a position where if they wanna leap up and air throw i can jump with them and air throw or air to air button them before they get it started. There’s a space Akumas always wanna be in to air fireball and if you’re playing too much neutral you’re probably in that space.
I know d3v would have been good at stuff like that but he doesn’t post too much anymore.
Gotta use more normals. Way too special move happy. You’ll have to practice playing some lounge sets where you only use normals to get yourself in the mindset.

I forgot how to play with the normals lol - I’ve been wanting the high damage output too much. It’s been addictive. I needs a special move detox man. CRAP CRAP CRAP. Can’t wait to get home.
Praying for a new Darkstalkers or CvS3. But probably won’t be either of those. Oh well, a man can dream.
Luckily you’re playing Birdie so you can get high damage from the buttons too. When you force people to respect the buttons, the specials moves and trash get stronger through that. It only benefits you to learn buttenz in a buttonsy game.

I need to adapt quicker on my opponents adjustments, most of my sets are ending 2-1 more than 2-0 because of that. Maybe I need to slow down a bit in the second match and study my opponent approach after a loss.
Outside that I’m seeing more Sakuras lately and I didn’t noticed before how her animations looks robotics compared to her SF4 counterpart. She look like she has strabismus on the character select screen.
Another milestone reached with miss mesmerizing smile.
Now try to get to ultra silver and then finally gold.

Lol, man. I just don’t understand some people. If you spent over 2 yrs hating this game, you really, really, reallllllly neeedddd to move on already. Having gripes is one thing, but constantly having a bitch-fest is just tiresome and dumb. These same people moan and groan about a fucking free update, or Fight Money having small returns despite never playing the fucking game before AE.
I get that the game is in the spotlight and that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. What I don’t get is how some of these people can be so bitter about a video game. If you’re constantly spewing garbage at those who gasps actually like the game, you’re a fucking loser. Plain and simple.

I am glad I didn’t drop her when I thought I couldn’t improve.
Beat something enough times and it ought to break. And what was limiting me back then broke.
Now to keep pushing forward. Gold should be within reach in a few weeks time.
