all the season 3 characters have been mediocre so far ive had hope for sakura but on her release she seemed incomplete. all i gotta say is capcom better Work long and hard on cody and Sagat cause fans will definitely be vocal about them

I really hate the micro walk on these combos, so for anyone doing Falke’s trial 10 the secret to the combo is actually before you do the micro walk. You have to press jumping HP pretty early otherwise she’ll push back and the walk will never work. It’s dumb, but I exorcised that combo demon and got my muhnay.

Catching up on these shows tonight and then back ranked tomorrow, hopefully.

Yep and Casual Match is 100 per win I believe. You also get 1,000 FM for each rank up on a character. The UI is still a mess IMO but that’s another story.

I have to grind rank/casual to get Falke and that’s a total of 140 matches approx I guess it’s my fault for still being a BL hobo. Good thing I have Juri/Karin until then.

Edit: It’s funny to me that Capcom has this ghetto F2P Motto but no way to just flat out buy FM. If they really wanted to go in they would offer budles of 50,000 FM for 10-15 bucks.

You used to be able to grind a character out then take that character into Survival and make back your FM and then some for their outfits. You used to get fight money for doing survival with their alternate outfits too IIRC Now I have to wait for these missions which are straight pennies. oh yeah reeeeee

It’s actually 50FM per win.

Technically the FM system works and if I hadn’t spend so much of it on stages, costumes and colours I’d have had more than enough to buy every character to date. The way they try to lure you with some FM stuff like the recent crossover costumes is sneaky but if you just ignore all that and save it for characters you shouldn’t really run out.

Seriously though, that hurtbox on the stick needs to go or minimized greatly.

The monetary value of 50k is nowhere near that. 100k FM would cost the same as one character, so like 5.99 or whatever it is.

Can it ever truly die? I think it’s just lying dormant to prepare for its next cycle of terror, like Pennywise the clown.

Bonchan is only one of a big chunk of pro players who didn’t get their previous main character, look at Haitani or Gamerbee. Sagat will not be different from the latest DLC characters, the reasons you posted are weak. Even Cody and G will follow, the S3 cast aren’t the actual top tier characters kryptonite in any way, it’s more safe to say Capcom will eventually improve them in S4.

I don’t wish death on him. I hope is alive and well. I also hope never comes back here.

Playing Falke the last two days was a solid reminder of why I dislike sf5…

A complete headache to play a character well then get mauled for 2 or 3 mistakes while the character that needs to make a dozen reads, play neutral hold buttons and has to have solid defense and offense.

If Falke ever loses the life lead its hell trying to open someone up with good defense. While with falke the whiff of a wrong normal can be GG.

I wish I could cancel my season pass honestly… capcom with the B.S handicaps on releasing characters that they clearly are going to buff or remove next patch

Seems like I didn’t miss much with Falke so far. Looks like the best (or the only good) thing about her is her visual design.

Not sure will this have any real application but you can use the input priority to hide her shotgun charges off her kicks.

I was trying to cross up with j.mk+j.mp (j.mk comes out because of input priority system) into c.lk, c.lp, standing shotgun but alas the shotgun doesn’t charge in time.

Punch and kick macros helps her big time. I would give her a throw macro and ppp macro. The throw macro so you can cut down on finger gymnastics when trying to tech or throw. PPP for the one button reversal while still keeping a charge.

Too bad I only have 6 buttons on my current layout.

I’ve been trying to do that too. Part of what is interesting with Falke is finding ways to sneak in the charge without whiffing punches. And letting up when you need the button without firing errant bursts.

PPP button has been clutch for me. I do not have the crab hands necessary to hit the other punch buttons while holding a charge.

Like I could semi understand why juri’s fireballs didn’t work on crouchers kinda…but in general…if the move goes through the hurtbox and doesn’t connect…I think there’s a problem.
