The struggle is real. I’m average height but all torso so my arms and legs are SFV style no reach. Any sparring I’ve ever done has been an exercise in navigating someone’s limbs.
I had a buddy in my TKD days that was like 6’ 6" and all legs. Sparring him was like fighting Dhalsim IRL.
In very vague fairness to them, I’m sure someone (wrongly) thought that it would be a neat callback to SF2 which is on that thing (right? I haven’t seen the list of games).
Given that the SFV support team is in a closet somewhere in the Capcom basement they probably didn’t run it by them to see if that kind of marketing would trigger the fans. They just threw some more brooms and shit at them and told them to keep at the costumes.
I am actually madder that it isn’t a digital bundle/collection for the PS4/Switch/XBOX One/PC than at the fact that it wasn’t an SFV announcement.
I want me some legal AvP action!
I think it would be slightly less triggering if like it was an all fighting game built in stick. The fact that HF and an obscure robot fighter are the only fighters on it makes it a bit weirder to advertise in that way.
Basically without the radio silence people would get over it, but way too much radio silence to say new challenger without triggering people.
Not a big fan of the buttons being blended into the white/blue/yellow capcom artwork. Looks like it’d be tough for someone new to it to see which buttons to hit.
Its not even a decent curio - who the fuck wants a big dumb double joystick in the shape of the Capcom logo taking up space in their house? Other than LoneDragon but I figure he is already comp’d one.
