SFV Lounge: No News after the grass, 10K POWERRRRRRR

The struggle is real. I’m average height but all torso so my arms and legs are SFV style no reach. Any sparring I’ve ever done has been an exercise in navigating someone’s limbs.

I had a buddy in my TKD days that was like 6’ 6" and all legs. Sparring him was like fighting Dhalsim IRL.

Worst PR in a while for sure. You shouldn’t use the words new challenger when people haven’t gotten a new challenger in more than half a year LOL

In very vague fairness to them, I’m sure someone (wrongly) thought that it would be a neat callback to SF2 which is on that thing (right? I haven’t seen the list of games).

Given that the SFV support team is in a closet somewhere in the Capcom basement they probably didn’t run it by them to see if that kind of marketing would trigger the fans. They just threw some more brooms and shit at them and told them to keep at the costumes.

I am actually madder that it isn’t a digital bundle/collection for the PS4/Switch/XBOX One/PC than at the fact that it wasn’t an SFV announcement.
I want me some legal AvP action!

I think it would be slightly less triggering if like it was an all fighting game built in stick. The fact that HF and an obscure robot fighter are the only fighters on it makes it a bit weirder to advertise in that way.

Basically without the radio silence people would get over it, but way too much radio silence to say new challenger without triggering people.

Not a big fan of the buttons being blended into the white/blue/yellow capcom artwork. Looks like it’d be tough for someone new to it to see which buttons to hit.

Also, as a small reality check (for those not joking).

I own a Vr headset… don’t get your hopes up too much.

Height talk? This is me irl

I like the new stick but yeah it was wrong for using a “new challenger” ad for that, yet I’m still waiting for something.

Thanks Capcom, but its a hard pass from me…

230 euro for a device with 16 old games.

i wonder if you can plug it via usb on a pc/ps4 to just use the stick unit…

That’s what I’m wondering. Wouldn’t be bad as a dual stick like the old X Arcade sticks if someone didn’t bring a stick to the tournament/casuals.

Weird choice of Hyper Fighting, though I noticed that it’s WiFi enabled. I wonder if there’ll be some sort of store for it later down the line.

The case just looks frail as heck, even in those renders.
Just let me buy this collection on PC and PS4 so I can get my AvP fix!

No Blanka’s pockets no SF Twitter profile change don’t take the bait. That’s always the rule.

Alright I just looked at the game list.

This thing sucks.

Its not even a decent curio - who the fuck wants a big dumb double joystick in the shape of the Capcom logo taking up space in their house? Other than LoneDragon but I figure he is already comp’d one.

It’s a marketing tactic since the Arcade1UP got Super and the rest.

There is also a plug and play arcade stick upcoming from Atgames.

Wait. Night Warriors is Darkstalkers 1, right?

Would’ve been nice to include VSav, but I guess they just didn’t want to.

You know, if this thing gets hacked as quickly as the SNES Mini, it could be tempting

The Night Warriors is the first one yup. Vampire Hunter is second.
