SFV Lounge: No News after the grass, 10K POWERRRRRRR

Personally, SF side has been whatever. Not that there’s anything wrong, but its really kinda exactly what you expect.

MK side has been silly, I’m not sure if its good silly or dumb silly, but very, silly.

Haven’t really watched any of the others at all.

A bunch of SF sets have been very entertaining. Smug vs VegaPatch and that Urien mirror with Ryusei come to mind.

Also, Japanese can’t play MK. I tuned in just for GO1’s matches in MK11 and he was pretty whatever.

I did see that match, that was a fun match.

Okay thanks maybe I’ll catch the rerun tonight. Outside of SF being what it is the game lineup for this tournament is absolutely nuts. I know it’s hard to stream and coordinate that many games with all those people but I enjoy it. I think somebody said like 48 different games.

Is the player base for DOA6 so small it can’t even make it to the main line-up?

I think DoA6 not making the Evo lineup in its launch year did alot of damage to its tournament representation.

The mystery is weather or not “core values” did it in. In which case, it killed itself.

Wouldn’t surprise me that shit came and went

If they really ended up excluding DoA6 just because of the core values thing that’s pretty disgusting.

I don’t think that was the reason though, DoA’s competitive scene is not that big and I think Mr. Wizard never really liked the series.

I think it’s no coincidence that it was shelved right after the “core values” debacle. I bought the game after some deliberation, and I’m enjoying it quite a lot. The last one I played was DOA2. It’s the best 3d fighting game alternative that I have, in lieu of Virtua Fighter 6.

I mean, it could also just be a coincidence.

I was a bit surprised to see SC6 get the nod over DoA6. While I don’t like DoA6 very much, I understand its a solid game… i don’t hear the same praise for SC6

This man gets it. C’mon Sega quit fucking around and finally give us VF. Everybody and their mom has fg coming out except the one I really want.

DoA scene doesnt really put up numbers. They’re kind of like NRS but bigger cucks because they really, really need that fanservice to justify their bad Virtua Fighter game.

Let’s be honest here. It really was because of the whole “Core Values” shenanigan.

If you’d look past the fanservice, you’d see that DOA is a very solid game. Why do you consider it bad?

SC6 has arguably more fanservice than DOA6.

Because it isn’t SF2.

Literally all of that is true. Save for MAYBE high risk/high reward. She’s high reward medium risk imo. But that depends on the character she’s facing.

Don’t be a scrub and get caught up in vortex hate. You press start, you throw your fate to the wind.

Actually her movespeed ain’t poor. But still.

The rounds weren’t close, and he went Karin 'cause I wasn’t worth him bothering with Menat

My reactions aren’t solid I get hit by every single Ibuki command dash you do and you saw the Ibuki match I lost that put me out

C’mon now XP

I’m pretty sure you just had the same experience as 95% of everyone that plays against JWong.

The DoA fanbase deserves way more respect than NRS. DoA5 was supported at tournaments for several years. The scene was strong enough that the development team sent DoA a personal thank you video at the last officially supported DoA5 tournament.
