SFV Lounge: No News after the grass, 10K POWERRRRRRR

My SFVI wishlist is super vague:

  • make winning satisfying
  • make losing motivating

Right now SFV does neither. I could argue that a lot of this comes from CCs and V-Triggers but there are other games out there with similarly dumb mechanics (UMvC3 for example) which still don’t feel as unrewarding to play. So I hope they find a better balance for stuff like that next time around.

This is a really vague statement.

Controller Ban incoming.

Unless you buy our official CPT Controller!

When did Controller become a topic? Always heard “play Arcade Stick ya git!” whenever Controller came up.
Did I miss something?

It’s okay to have no idea what’s going on in the community just uh. Don’t try and write a false narrative.

Being the usual asshole he is, Frost didn’t add anything to the topic.

Also, Falke and Burlesque go hand in hand. Art by @DiasFox

So much for Falke being pure and innocent.

Nobody believed it anyway.

Irony.

Burlesque is the very definition of purity and innocence!

I support a hitbox ban only cause it will cause a lot of drama and it will give me something to read cause im bored

I think the SOCD-discussion is pretty interesting. Daigo’s Hitbox doesn’t seem to interpret SOCDs as neutral inputs, which is definitely an advantage for a charge-character. The typical industry hitboxes register SOCDs as neutral. This would solve the problem for SF, but it’s a discussion in the Tekken community if that’s an issue because it makes certain inputs (backdash cancels aka the most important input in the game) significantly easier to do cleanly.

in tournament arcade and standard pads should be the only legal controllers… It’s like that in every other “sport” are we e sports or not?

However enforcing or being able to tell if something isn’t modded is a whole other thing.

I thought you had a lot more points to go, okay :japanese_goblin:
Didn’t think my little boy would grow up this soon.

That statement is incredibly vague.

There’s going to be a blanket ban. Glorious salt incoming.

RIP that one guy playing on a driving wheel tho.

This isn’t really true, sports all have equipment improvements that enhance athlete performance.

And all sports occasionally have to draw lines in the sand.

The SOCD thing is game/PCB specific. The hitbox guys use a PCB that prevents it.

Wonder what prompted this statement from capcom?

Daigo.
