So SFV increases its sales to 3.1 million.
The rank looks like this right now:
SF2 - 14m
SF4 - 9m
SF5 - 3.1m
I think the numbers game means a bit less in an environment devoid of physical rereleases to pump sales numbers. V probably wants whales that buy costume DLC n shit to fill the margins.
It really comes down to finding a job you’re passionate about and you’re good at even if it doesn’t pay as well at first.
I left behind my well paying stock broker job but I’m currently earning enough too.
I’m charging my students
$45 for 30 minutes lessons
$60 for 45
And $80 for 1 hour lessons.
And this is on top of what I earn doing film acting.
It was a leap of faith when I quit looking for corporate jobs and doing something I’m really good at.
I forgot if I mentioned this in the thread but me and my friend wanted to look over the throw game and who actually has a “real” tick throw in V. List is shockingly small.
We set-up training mode scenarios against Sakura(fastest backwalk) and a couple of average backwalks to see how they fared, and tested to see who could force a tick throw that the opponent wasn’t able to walk out of. List is shockingly small and no surprise the names that pop up. This also excludes command grab characters are they are obviously not able to be walked out of in most scenarios.
Akuma has a universally true tick throw(however it’s from a +1 normal so untrue vs. 3f)
Bison has a universally true tick throw
Karin has a universally true tick throw
Rashid works vs. average but NOT Sakura
Birdie works vs. average but NOT Sakura
…that’s basically it. Lmao. Walking back is stupidly good in this game, you should never be teching midscreen. If you smell throw, just hold back and you’re better off just eating a low for sub 150 damage from everyone that isn’t Karin rather than a shimmy punish.
One should also consider that SFIV’s 9 million copies figure is actually vanilla SFIV selling 3.4 million copies and then adding to that number the sales of all the paid expansions you had to buy to stay up to the date.
And, apparently, the sales of the 3DS version of the game too.
Yeah but it doesnt matter cause its still paid expansions not free expansions.
Kinda hilarious that Chun costumes sells from SFV basically are gonna pay for at least half the cost of SF6 development.
Anyone got the BB tag patch notes?
Is the patch live? Might play some before the kid wakes up lol https://arcsystemworks.com/blazblue-cross-tag-battle-02-05-patch-notes/
I had 60 hour workweeks towards the end of my M.Sc. and the following years. I got to do some cool shit but it really took a toll on my mental health (and probably my liver). Don’t want to go back to anything like that, in spite of me wanting to leave my current job due to things being too slow.
I thought they use those funds for CPT prizepool
/s
$600k is already a very big amount.
I rather they use the money to reward their employees and in turn motivate them to do a much better job.
Season 4 is finally here guys download the new patch
The fact that the bears tiny ass arms still seem to match the hitboxes lol
Yeah, it’s what I’ve been saying for years. I’ve been using walk back and fuzzy walk back since about 6 months after the game came out. It’s ridiculously good and shit ass hard to stop, in fact it can’t really ever be totally stopped. Anything you can do to stop back walk and the opponent can just do one of lots of different things.
Fuzzy back walk combined with delayed tech is the absolute worst though when the opponent finds a way to combine them both…
True, but my point was that the userbase for SFIV was probably a lot smaller than 9 million individual users and, while SFV doesn’t have paid expansions (fortunately) it tries to make money through micro-transactions, costumes and bundles.
Hard to say how effective SFV’s model is compared to IV because we don’t have sales numbers for SFV’s costumes and DLCs.
