Interestingly enough most of the streamers (regardless of rank) stream ranked.
A streamer on twitter was talking about how rank stresses them out really hard. Then some other twitter monsters were like “you should just play casuals/battle lounge like us and be in a happy place where you do the same mistakes with the same people over and over again”.
In my head I was like that’s not going to work because ranked is what the stream monsters watch firstly. It gets you more huffy and puffy when you lose and the ups and downs are relateable and good for content. If you’re on PS4 that’s free salt messages or someone on PC will come into the chat and talk shit. Nobody is going to care about a stream that only does haha heehee casuals unless it’s a god like Momochi. Even this Korean Super Silver Balrog girl was playing ranked and losing to 10 win streak Laura.
Secondly, you only improve so much playing the exact same few battle lounge people or people who want to sandbag with secondary/tertiary characters in casuals. If you beat up on the rare GM that runs casuals with their main, you get nothing to show for it any way unless you go win your local or get out of pools at Dreamhack.

Yup. Killing streaks is good stream content too. Even when I was fighting Smug’s day 2 Alex with my 9 win streak Falke, the monsters wanted 2 day Alex to kill my streak lol.
deranking masters always feels horrible to me cause I know the point disparity is fucked for them lmao.

One very important factor is knowing how to pace yourself. I see some people playing Ranked for several hrs–getting in close to 60-80 games in a session. You have to understand when it’s time to take a break and when it’s necessary to keep playing. Most of my sessions were hella random, but I always tried to set a little goal for myself.
Like, I’d be at 50k, aim for 51k, and then be good with that. Sometimes I’d go over it if I was feeling it, but knowing when to stop basically taught me not to bite off more than I need to chew.
Where are you currently?
DJ, interesting. The set with Hurricane came down to the last hit in both games. I came up short, but I was alright with that. A longtime back, I’d consider myself defeated at the VT select screen, but now? I’d rather get my ass kicked than to kick my ass mentally and lose, anyway.
The most sobering part is that I don’t put pressure on myself anymore. I got to where I got to by playing, analyzing my gameplay, and simply wanting to get better. The moment I stopped overthinking so much (this is actually a legit issue for me outside of gaming) was when I finally felt comfortable. You will lose, you will win. Can’t get too high or too low.

As long as I don’t get absolutely rolled I’m happy. And that rarely happens even vs. EUs best player pool now. So I’m fairly happy with where I am, all fights seem like they could go either way. Not like anyone is gonna win forever.

That plug and play arcade stick thing is exactly the kind of dumb thing I expected. Fuckin’ hell that being the way to play AvP and not in the beat 'em up collection they put out.
Also damn I kinda really like that Frost design. 
Misconception he basically has it anyways. Just doesn’t look the same/doesn’t jump backwards to gain space while doing it. It is still a giant thing in the middle of the screen that will freeze you if you touch it.

That’s what other games are missing compared to MK. Frost shows up dressed as a power ranger and it makes actual sense.

Sako and momochi were pretty equal in that match. Whilst i think y zeku does better in the ground game, i think he should have gone for the more reliable o zeku. Momochi simply lost because he kept getting jumped in on and lacked option due to y zeku garbage anti airs.
Also the set ups after misogi are sick if you have demon. On h knockdown St lk ~ H stomp is a meaty setup and leaves you +7 on hit, you can mix up the timing and buffer into demon with m stomp (which will whiff however demon will hit). If you anticipate a jump back from opponent you can do fw jump st mp ~tatsu ~misogi which will leave you in the same pos. Momochi lost every mix up.
I’m at 13200 LP currently, but I’m not playing ranked too much tbh (1700~1800 ranked match I think). The point is I don’t feel completely comfortable with Zeku still and the problem isn’t my knowledge or skill, but there’s something about SFV that felt inconsistent. Sometimes I’m like a bulldozer, the day after I can lose against anyone. I’m not good at resetting immediately after a loss, instead I keep thinking on it losing focus on the upcoming match. Then the tilt starts. I’m the kind of person who overthinking on on mistakes a lot when SFV isn’t a game where you have time to do that. I said yesterday I need to stop playing a bit because I can play SFV sleeping few hours a night like I was used to, this game require all my mental strength, patience and attention to makes me perform well. SFV in general isn’t bad, but feel stressful to me and I’m not too impatient to see which kind of dumbassery my opponent will try to do just to don’t lose online points. Absolutely not, especially working 9-18 all week.
Thanks for these advices, I will keep them in mind.

Murica = Sex is bad, Violence is good! You get banned for tits and ass, but cutting someone into 5000 pieces and then taking a bath in the mess is completly fine.
Also MK plays like shit and looks equaly bad.
