SFV Lounge: Menat BUFFED, F2P SFV coming, CCCC COMBO BREAKERS coming

I started playing in lounges and casual more recently… I’ve noticed you get better quality matches instead of ft2 gimmicks.

Also people seem to be more relaxed in that setting so they are able to perform better. (I’m guilty of this)

In rank even some of the “higher rank” player go nuts and start jumping left and right dash all over randomly and pulling out every gimmick they can think of…

Ranked seems more like a see saw

Casual and battle lounges are a better reflection of over all skill.

Infiltration is the best as far as multiple characters go, Bonchan also decent in SFV at least.

Nice, someone link this video to @Trife88 and @Lock_M

Gamerbee was playing Juri on his stream yesterday. He looked pretty solid.

Well technically I haven’t played ranked since the beginning of Season 2 but in casual matches I usually go 6 or 7 out of ten and not 1 out of 20.

I can see how a lot of people might be focused towards pulling off weird YOLO gimmicks to quickly get a win in a short FT2 set. Considering my performance in lounges I seem to be one of those as well though I have no clue why.

Hasn’t tokido been in like 90% of grand finals through SFV’S span? I’d say he’s the best.

That’s always been the case. Its actually weird how much rank matters in SF but not really in anime games. Probably because the playerbase is smaller there.

If you want good quality practice, longer sets is the way to go.

Gamberbee is a cool guy so he is allowed to use Juri and I hope he wins major tournaments. Plus his glasses are always impeccable.

Don’t think people even really play ranked at all at this point in bbtag. I see all the more well known names in the lobby with everyone else.

Was fighting mr. Quotes the other night. Haven’t seen him since the early mvc3 days lol. Also fought flux and I’m always seeing omniscythe and some other known names running around. It’s nice be able to games in with higher level players even though I’m still pretty ass at the game right now

Analyse yourself a bit.
Take a look into your replays and just watch for similaritys in the matches.

Simple explained.
Ranked is ass and people in anime care for games, not ranked.
I mean I’m in CTB purple with over 2000 wins and haven’t played one ranked match.
And thats the case with basically everyone, no one plays or even cares about ranked or ranks.

But to be fair, ASW Lobbys system/Room System is far superior to the garbage there is in SF.

Don’t know about superior. I rather have menus than overcomplicated chibbi nonsense.

Everyone still placing Alex at bottom 3. Problem X will open their eyes, as he did with Bison.

Complicated?
There is a station go to it and press a button, congratulations, the match can start as soon as you have an opponent.
No need to search for someone or navigate trough 20 menues.

Also having a cute Chibi Nu run around with a big smile is better than a menu that looks like it was made for a mobile game.

Its literally the same thing as a menu. Just one massive GUI for weebs instead of boxes.

Be glad he isn’t using Alex. His resets are scary.

HIs playstyle is terrifying. Dude legit doesn’t learn. He’ll go for the same thing 6 times in a row. You get complacent thinking he’ll have to adapt. But he won’t. He’ll test you with the same shit and get away with it.

You DP him 3 times, he’ll jump the 6th. Dude is going to start the round the same way every time too. Its insanity.

S4 Alex still loses to the same stuff he did before the patch. He wins a little easier in matches he was winning anyway, but that won’t help his tier placement.
