Which begs the question: who wins the matchup between Young vs. Old?

Young. Even with the slightly buffs given to Old, SFV as an offensive game fits YZ way better. The latter is phenomenal at applying pressure and pushing the opponent into the corner, OZ is better at keeping the opponent there. Still think people don’t respect OZ too much, even with a legit dp they feel confident at attacking the Old, instead Young pressure is scary.

someone experience one sided rollback…its not the netcode its your connection? really…thats the dumbest thing you can say! thats a netcode issue since day one everyone knows it and many things can trigger it as people have shown in the recent years.

I would probably play Old Zeku if he were a fleshed out stand-alone character.

Trying to play actual Zeku always just frustrates me that he can’t do Gen stuff.

Lmfao, you don’t know if it’s one sided or not. Even if your opponent tells you they felt no lag and you were warping all over the place it means nothing.

“One sided” lag has always been a thing, be it rollback or input lag, some feel it more than others.

Complaining about rollback when the alternative is input lag is like complaining about ketchup on your hotdog versus eating 3 week old trash. Fuck outta here.

We just got the brackets for our Christmas Tekken tourney posted. Of the 30 plus people that showed up, almost 20 of them are legit candidates for top 4. I’m probably commentating, so this is gonna be fun.

wait you want to deny now that there is a one sided rollback issue in sfv? really? you cant be serious…

the huge issues with this game are not the rollbacks itself. as you said that can happen in other games too. the difference is that usually both player experience the same which isnt the case in this game. you can have no issues at all while your opponent has to face all the teleports. and no i havent played a game where that kind of thing happens. it pairs things up on both side so either its bad for both or not.

That’s the first time I’ve invested time/efforts on a stance character, so I don’t know if Gen was more satisfying or not to play. I’m still too impatient to really use Zeku at his full potential I think, I’m not the kind of player who loves to walk back 24/7 or just sit and watch what the other does, so Young Zeku is still my primary choice. Currently I’m working more with Old, but his zoning/space control isn’t strong enough to play him alone or most of the time.

Gen can buffer zero frame stance switches inside his attacks, which gives him a huge fluidity advantage compared to Zeku.

OZ could probably work as a stand-alone, but obviously would need a lot of his frame data tweeked.

Both stances could stand alone moveset wise. But yeah the old man would need some major tweaks to be standalone, whereas for you d to be standalone the only thing he would really need is either a better AA OR a reversal

Personally I wanted an ex stance change that would take nearly half the time done raw, and be tweaked during cancels to either make him slightly plus, slightly minus or even, depending on the move canceled.

He really needs a bit more fluidity in his stance change mechanic. Even if he became top tier, I’d stilll think this is a problem that needs addressing
