SFV Lounge: Menat BUFFED, F2P SFV coming, CCCC COMBO BREAKERS coming

I’m not sure. The guy was pretty predictable and honestly not that good. Honestly think he flubbed the input and got lucky cause i read his grab a mile away. I know to just jump out next time though.

Looks like he fluked his input, got it 5 frames too late and that is just 1 frame in when your throw invincibility ends as seem here:
SFVSim simulation

Honestly for as much as those losses have pissed me off in the past and continue to do so sometimes, I remind myself that they are crazy for a reason and it works for a reason. I try to learn as much as I can with the caveat that you can’t always learn from crazy.

I mean its possible he read me idk. It’s just that this guy was all gimmicks. Don’t think I saw his Alex actually walk more than 10 frames at a time in several sets. Moves only with elbow, overhead, and jumps. Oh and fullscreen EX jump grab.

Also an Abigail player lol.

@Highlandfireball Sucks I wasn’t around to get last chance set in with you. Family was bothering me with stuff. GGs and I’ll catch ya the next time you hit Europe or some weird off chance I ever go to Australia.

Well at least that’ll take you less time than it will to get to Diamond. LMK when you get that so we can play.

You have just described almost every Alex I’ve run into online. The remainders are super turtles.

I straight out stopped playing this for like 3 months. :joy:

Do you play on PC or PS4?

Anything that has purchasable 3rd Strike I own. Pick which one you wanna play on.

You can, it’s just a different lesson. Sometimes crazy is good, remeber how stressful it is when you are playing a lunatic and you aren’t sure what the hell they are going to do and try to apply some of that to your play. Again, not saying go full lunatic, but you still learn.

It reminds me of the pirates of the Caribbean movies:

Will:
“You’d never beat me in a fair fight”

Jack:
“Doesn’t give me much incentive fight fair then, does it?”

(FYI I get just as mad losing to some of that shit as the next guy, I’m not trying to be patronizing)

Fair warning though, I’m ass at 3S.

:joy: :japanese_goblin:

Fair warning DJ is not…

Alex doesn’t do a lot of walking

Cammy you were supposed to take the throw against and well…she was top tier. I’m a 3rd Strike player so I always take the throw any way. Not helpful for me.

Number 2 doesn’t help too much either because an optimized Kage will most likely never do stomp unless on a block string unless they use c.MP. It’s effectively only describing how to beat a secondary sandbag Kage. Optimized Kage will just confirm his ranged c.MK into fireball any way which will be easy to do do since he has good walk and can easily fish for it if you walking back.

Number 3 we’re still tired of having to take the throw vs bullshit characters like Kage. He has standing mix up bnbs, can’t afford to take many throws. Taking the throw vs Juri and Ryu, sure. Vs Akuma, Rashid and Kage? Only can take one or so before your stun is on the line. With VT2 anything he touches you with basically leads to near stun scenario for getting touched.

after goutetsu, gouken or etc was recently speculated he tries to hint vaguely

if that was a real info from a datamining or hacking he would post scripts, variable or value but instead post clues not technical info lol.

it proves he doesn’t got anything other than guessing and looking into recent fan wish-list lol.

Can we stop posting his bullshit please?

That’s cool I can just pull Alex Valle casual session and see how many wins I get with Twelve.

If you’re too strong then I’ll have to bust out Ken or Alex.

That v trigger is overrated. You dont get anything free, or another way you can attack such as a command grab, a fireball, or a safe overhead, or a mix up or a forward moving/air move that is plus on block, you have to earn it by getting a hit in the first place.
And because you likely have low health in the first place you put in a situation where you not just have to work to open up the player but you also take risks doing so.
It’s a bit like sakura’s v2 just much more safe ob.

Throwing a fireball with kage not only does it lack range even up close but it’s is -3 ob but also you leave yourself open to a easy cc.
