Nobody decent looking is still using forums in 2019.
I’m late to posting this but I noticed a day ago that the FSP/Gandhi match got posted again for LOLZ. What a lot of people or maybe even most haven’t seen is the match that Gandhi played right after beating FSP. I linked the exact time but it probably doesn’t matter since it won’t show up as a link. Skip to the 1 hour and 38 minute and 22 second mark to see Gandhi vs a Dan player.
The Dan player obliterates Gandhi and repeatedly taunts him during the match. I feel like he wanted to send a message, but not to Gandhi. Instead I think it was more so to FSP and the audience at home. Basically him saying “this is how you do it”. Granted I think the Dan player was much better than FSP at that time and knew what he was up against so it wasn’t the same experience.
Anyways I think it’s unfortunate that this match was not uploaded to view as a stand alone match. The FSP/Gandhi match explores what can go wrong when you face players like this and get mind fucked. But the match against Dan shows how to handle it and how easy it is if you can keep your cool.
That Dan player was an Italian guy I played regular against at the time, his name was Feimitsu Danwa. He was a troller by nature (he had also a decent Fei Long), but I’m pretty sure he tried to expose Gandhi on the big stage on purpose.
I honestly still dont get how some peeps still believe in x kira… he’s been doing this crap for years and hasnt been right many times
Even when he predicts “right”, its usually under the circunstance of predicting so many things that one of them could be true or if they release something and he just rides on it (like saying Nash Canonspike costume will be released after they already released the Cammy one)
The dude is so persistent it hurts lol
Funny enough he started working for Marvel as soon as Marvel died
Theres never a wrong time to ex dr. Thats your problem dimeyell san
Kokujin got double perfected by a Chun. :<
The Duds dream is dead.
Making games?
Making functions, destroying games.
Congrats to the Yun team for taking pre coop cup.
the Ibuki’s worked hard. Unfortunately tier lists could not allow for their victory to happen today
The difference between the Ghandi match is that anyone thats not the guy on the day would have handled him. That’s where footsies come into play.
SF5 you can definitely die in a couple guesses. Maybe even one in extreme cases ( G, ibuki etc).
Oh, how I hate shortcuts in this game.
Thinking about random things last night as I fell asleep and I think I got a better handle on why I go into character crisis mode so often. And it isn’t solely because of that complaint I made about being so lost 'cause nothing fits perfectly.
It’s also 'cause when I finally settle on a character…there’s just not much to find with them in training mode. Move interactions are super linear, there isn’t all that much to the characters themselves, and oftentimes the most I find myself doing is grinding out hit/block/one-hit confirms, or just grinding DP anti-air into muscle memory. Which would be fine…if there was more to find or more to try out alongside that. So I keep swapping characters to substitute for what an individual character lacks.
It’s why I love Menat so much 'cause her VTI is so much fun to mess around with 'cause there’s so much you can do with it. Even just her orb is more dynamic than what other characters offer.
I’d spend so much time in SF x TK just trying to find optimal team combos for several different situations, or finding optimal ways to set up for charged counter-hit setups, or looking for set-ups to beat different wake-up options…similar case in Smash with optimal edge guards, or optimal ways to set up bombs with Link and so on.
This game could really use more Menat-esque characters.
why don’t you just play anime?
X-kira stuff is great. If capcom gave him fake info and won’t deliver it, I believe it.
'Cause I generally dislike how anime movement works and how they play as a whole. I’ve tried UNIST, Blazblue and Guilty Gear, and while all of them are good, none of them really clicked with me. UNIST comes close though.
I prefer Smash and Soul Calibur if I want a fighter with more freedom of movement. When it comes to a more traditional 2D fighter I like the flow of Street Fighter more.
I’m just super picky XP
nah I get where you’re coming from, it’s just that I don’t know if this is the game for you if you want something less linear
It’s the game where all you cool people hang out though so I still play
Just play Menat like everyone told you since forever then.
And oh, nothing is more dynamic than Zeku
I’m thinking of messing around with SFV a bit for the next couple of hours, anyone wanna beat up a completely clueless EU Ryu?
