st.mk, st.lp, LP.Hozanto
They are all a bit sketch though.
TK air grab works too, especially EX.
St.mk is actually really good, like on par with majority of AAs in the game, but it’s hitbox only works for jumps that aren’t directly above him. St.lp covers those decently, with the exception of things like Ken j.hp, Gief j.mk etc.
Here’s the st.mk hitbox, it works great in it’s intended range.
I get stuffed a lot, but based on the hitbox, that is on me.
Thanks!
with its 3 active frames you have to be in range and point…
most AAs have 3 actives
i guess thats why people just jump in all day online?
He has some alright air to airs also. His AA is kinda galaxy brain like Chun Li, but that’s one of the trade offs for switching to Y.Zeku over old.
S tier is obviously right. Luckily the game has been changed so the top 3 are very beatable now even though they are clearly top 3. Making Ibuki VTC minus on block addresses the strength of her VT2 without making it 3 bars which would have made it too weak.
Hmmmm Necalli seems a bit too high, but it’s not like he’s too far off.
Menat should be higher. Once the top top Menats get back into groove with her she should be similarly difficult to land hits on and still essentially the best character in the game at winning off life leads. With the way most of the game works otherwise that’s pretty cheap. She’ll have to burn V Reversal once in a while, but odds are if played right she’ll still usually have a shot at a trigger.
Guile most likely needs to go up one tier also. In anything resembling an offline tournament I’ve seen Daigo is still running Guile and his neutral is still pretty OD for this game. Still has similar disproportionately strong offense for his ability to lame out.
We have a Cody that’s in Warlord now so I guess he’s an alright character at this point. Probably won’t translate as well in tourneys when he has to face other meta shit, but he’s about where he needs to be any way. Could go down one if he doesn’t phase out in tournaments as well as he should.
Surprised he has enough confidence to put Juri in that A tier. Most people won’t give her the credit for that. She could easily be in the tier below, but you could argue her for where she is. Does well vs some important characters any way.
If Sagat is in B+, Falke can easily be in B+. Not sure how that’s happening.
Kage still too low just in theory, but once I start messing with him more I’ll really have more of an opinion on it.
nope, 3fs is pretty lengthy, it depends on how those actives handle the hitbox/hurtbox extension.
SFV AA hurtboxes and jumping hurtboxes have huge ass extended hurtboxes, so dependent on character you can have a really hard time stopping certain jump attacks without trading.
Now this is why NCK is the best poster here. I hope Makoto is in this season. Just for this homie.
His list is alright but I’d make some changes
Raise Guile and Urien
Raise Abigail
Drop Sagat, raise Falke.
Yup Abigail is still a fucking problem (he just doesn’t invalidate Gief and Alex full stop anymore) and now that there’s actually a reason for him to use his VT2 that thing is a problem too.
That tier list seems mostly accurate indeed. I do agree with most of Frost changes.
We will see how it will look after a few rounds of CPT, but I doubt it will change much.
And at least the top 5 in this season aren’t leagues above everyone else in the game. They are clearly better, but not so much better that it felt they were playing a different game from the rest of the cast.
It’s same ender, except it only works for young zeku and the opponent has to be crouching. If you havent hit confirmed into v t1 your now better going for a tick throw. Of if your using old zeku canceling your first hit into a special.
It’s not on par with other anti airs if it’s hitbox is skewed towards the front. Even for that it has a garbage hitbox that loses to chars with strong jump ins like ryu and ken (at best you trade) it works fine against char with weaker jump ins though or air specials like g’s spinning kick.
For L hozanto (most reliable anti air) for one it’s slow and moves him forward which can cause it to whiff and youll get punished on recovery.
For far off jump ins, cr hp can be more solid than st mk. And st hk is another one.
With young zeku it’s all about spacing. You want to position the char where you can anti air people with l hozanto (or just dash/walk past to avoid it).
That’s precisely why I said only when it’s within it’s range.
Literally right here too.
My point is that St mk even within range loses out to strong jump ins. And lp is just a bad option.
Ya I mentioned those too.
Switch to old Zeku and DP somebody.
what should I do if Im fuck all away from my opponent and trying to get in?
Switch away from the rushdown side.
