It was one of those combos that felt impossible until you were able to get it down. Trust me when I tell you it took me forever to actually get it down on consistent basis.
@FlyingVe I was happy to see Strider return. I played him a lot early on. I guess I was just too in love with Lvl1 orbs from MVC1/MVC2. I never took the time to explore MVCI as much as I would’ve liked, but that version of Strider is really fun.
@TWINBLADES I lost count. Lol. Deadass. I like DBFZ. I just enjoy the battle system in MVCI more. Too bad I hate the roster and its ugliness. My team was basic asf (Captain Marvel/Winter Soldier) and I still had sooooo much fun playing them.

Can’t lie, whenever I think of her I think of MVC2 Sim. I think that FullSchedule and Marlin came closest to optimizing her, but the executional requirements plus tournament pressure stopped her from being TT.
Yeah, he was probably the reason I lost so much, but it. I love that series. It’s a crime that he wasn’t in Infinite.
Funny how we’re burning through the thread now and it’s not even SFV that’s the reason

Nah, morrigan killed her.
Her only bad matchup was a small weakness to Zero until that team came about.
Prior to that team she was tippy top tier.
You’re on something strong too if you think SFV is the smash hit Capcom can’t wait to give it a sequel. SF4 despite all the BS, was a commercial success and the hurry to replicate that leads to the sad start of SFV. Honestly I would wait more for a proper launch with SF6, the reality is none of us really know what’s going on at Capcom HQ these days. You could be right, but I could be right too, that’s the saddest part of no news since December.
Enough people are here for enough things to keep it moving.
Although like @vhozite brought up earlier, nothing burns through the thread faster than SFV news. When and if we get SFV news it’ll be like 1,000 posts in 2 days.
News or Evo usually brings back YungBeezy for a nice minute.

Not really. Her only really weakness was things coming from a 45 degree angle above that she couldn’t seismo.
Which is all the morrigan team does.
Don’t get me wrong, every character you listed is a big threat, but not uniquely to Viper.

Considering how flat SFV is regarding execution stuff, I can’t imagine Viper being even close to her original (and super fun) counterpart.
I’m almost convinced Capcom wants to try another Marvel, so another SF is very possible considering DLC sales and the CPT still being the biggest fighting game tour out there.
Just one time I want Capcom to release a character that is totally busted. Like FR comes around and the next character is a port of SF4 Viper. Same uniboob model, frame data, feints, everything.

Capcom understands the game’s meta too well to have anymore real broken on launch characters. Menat was the closest to that but she at least required enough work that it wasn’t immediately apparent in like a way that Beta Birdie or S2 Bison was. You’re not going to get any straightforward OD characters anymore.
Most of the new DLC characters always have honest ass CC’s too. There hasn’t been a new character that has come out with Rashid/Bison level CC’s.
