Yes S3 was perfect but it was riding high in the AE wave. Capcom were pushing out a new product to the public and the season benefited from that. S3 was the exception not the rule.
The next time we might experience a season with such a perfect marketing push is when they repackage the game for casuals. These tend to happen at 2 year intervals before not annually.
Having said that, Capcom have not been silent.
We know they are working on a major release of the game. We know more characters are coming. We know CPT is happening and it is bigger than ever before.
All they asked of us as consumers is to wait for the reveal. You think after they haven’t earned some good will by now to give them this much at least?
Thing about Old is he seems supplemental, not something you can use for extended periods of time. Like he has his time to shine in corner, and from certain set-ups with flip, and a couple of match-ups where he can do more than Young, but aside from that I think Old is in a good spot.
@Evil_Canadian is holding Capcom down everyday on Twitter and Logan putting him in his place.

Yeah you can tell they love mvc2. I mean it’s just video games at the end of the day, but hearing the way they talked about the old days they take that shit serious. Hopefully we get neo coming on the show to play a ft10 or something. Yeah pretty much said the same as you you’re good and all but you ain’t proved nothing yet. And you placed when the game was dead. Old Zeku has way more game than people give him credit for; problem is that its kind of match up specific. You also have to have good awareness of the situation you’re in to get a lot of juice out of his gameplay.
Young Zeku just lets you do goon things in a goon game. So why not go honest all man when you can goon?

I’m still going with the theory that they’ll drop characters at the end of major CPT events. Like they’ve done with the last 3 characters.

My take on the general Capcom Radio Silence
If you still here in SEASON 4, you know what you’re getting into. If this was an NRS game we’d be on another game any way so if you here you here and dealing.
Everyone complaining is just like the KI player I knew that always said he was done with KI after he lost at Evo. Next year he was competing at Evo again in the next season. If you always putting yourself back into the system then you know what you’re getting into.
If Capcom released G in December this would be news as normal, but because they finished in Summer it has people freaked out because the radio silence is extended. Capcom never has shit to reveal after the last character hits so it is what it is. Kage unfortunately is the very meager FIRST DLC/NEWS OF S4.
CPT events are where the news goes down and everyone knows Ono and Blanka’s pockets have to be there for shit to go down. Until Ono and Blanka’s pockets speak you SHUT YOUR MOUTHS.

Old is worse on ground with better damage potential, stronger corner and has better reset mixes. DP is nice but Young has serviceable AA Young beats him everywhere else - walk, meaties, throw, pressure, ground. And not even for unga, Young ground is just way better cause of the walkspeed, it makes up for stubby things that Old can’t compensate.
Old really isn’t given less credit than he needs, he’s hugely supplemental to a superior stance.
Do tell how he’s being stupid here, EC doesn’t play SFV and he’s literally telling him when they stated announcements would take place in response to scrutiny about it.

Also I played SFV as recently as last week. Its just not my primary concern and I still have issues with it. Sorry if that warps the narrative.

Which character did you play and did you do ranked or casuals/lounge?
Logan takes paychecks from CC? He works on mics and beyond that he hosts his events at RedBull in London lmao.
And yeah, considering the aforementioned scrutiny being addressed makes him stupid in Zio’s eyes, narrative doing perfectly well.
