Missed the games, but i was checking my phone during break at work and i’m not surprised there’s no news. Everything points towards capcom carrying out one major update (new chars/story line) around the time the arcade cabinets are ready. Oddly i’m feeling the opposite of doom and gloom but instead a lot of optimism.

I think its silly to believe there isnt anything coming this season. Its free money.
However the budget is probably shrinking and sfv is like side project indie status at this point.
If you look at it, we only got a single character from august to february (probably until atleast april), So that’s like 6 months. We might have to wait 8 months and it’s been radio silence in between. It’s clear they’re preparing something big.

I knew it was gonna be final round buy I was really hoping it would be earlier… Oh well with no information, hints and upset people I sure hope it’s big even if it’s just a free story mode and a character.
If they just drop a character…it’s a good as a wrap. Although it’s been a good run for sf5. It started off really really bad

Thanks for the games. That is my firs time playing against a not awful Falke or Ibuki, so I appreciate the experience.
My Zeku is still no fully formed… I like O Zeku though.
For sure. Old Zeku is fun but he’s too easy to disrespect. He doesn’t have real zoning like Falke or Sagat just wanna be slow gram zoning. Basically in order to win with that character you have to learn Y.Zeku. O.Zeku is just a means to give Y.Zeku the life lead.
I knew I was going to drop that super attempt. Haven’t played Ibuki in a while so dont remember all the specific heights to land her super after juggles anymore. Need to get back in and practice her mix ups and VT2 routes also. Oh well long as I can press buttons good I get by with her.
Sakura mirrors are fun. She’s really fun to play and if Kage wasn’t out I’d probably mess with her more. Once I get back to actually maining Ibuki again I’ll be messing with Kage too.
But yeah you should definitely really keep up with Kolin. She’s the strongest character you play and does well vs important characters. Stupid good buttons but also has counters and parries to other stupid buttons. It makes her very strong in this game because she can whip buttons around the place but forces everyone else to think about when they wanna hit buttons. She has some direct counter matchups that keep her out of toppest tier and doesn’t have a real DP which is kind of an issue, but other than that really good.

Not ignoring Kolin. But 8/10 matches with her come down to VT2 nonsense, and honestly that gets boring…
Not planning to ignore Y Zeku, but at the moment I’m not very comfortable with him. Was also thinking about Falke or Birdy for a more grindy character, but Zeku gives me some flexibility I like.
That’s why Momochi is fun to watch. He doesn’t really need her VT2 to win matches. He wins a lot of them without even really using it. If your ground game is that good you can just bunker down with her and then VT2 is just a luxury. I understand what you mean out of pure variety’s sake though. That’s why I play Falke also because need someone that allows me to play from longer range than Ibuki.
You should like Birdie too he’s very versatile and can also win matches without v trigger once your fundies get good enough.
Yeah, I saw that during Evo Japan. That takes some very strong fundamentals to pull off I feel.
There’s always time to practice the fundies.
