I haven’t even seen him play Cody in a while. Doubt he’s busting him out but would be good to see.
Mindset of someone smart trying to force a problem MU into a MU you almost always win, but if you wanna actively lose on winners pride that’s your hill to die on.
Think you guys are overplaying the match up. He was one up and completely obliterated Fuudo in the first game. Dude wasn’t even at the races.
Then second game was completely fine. I get what he was doing , but as soon as he lost with Nash the odds were slim.

Kolin is good to start with. Here we go.
He was obvs struggling so it wasn’t a bad move, if he wins the game through the counterpick Fuudo either has to commit to Birdie and face the counter again, or switch to fight Nash with Mika and then run into his Karin.
If Punk was confident it was a good call.

Funny it went the way it did because he just talked about it. He was on yipes and matrix’s show and the brought up his switching from Karin.
In a nut shell he said he start losing when he switched to other characters like Cammy and stuff, that he started winning again when came back to Karin. That’s a super shitty job of paraphrasing it. I don’t have the mu knowledge you guys have so idk who he should have picked.
Birdie has bodied Karin since S1 so thats kind of outside the scope of him having his hiatus away from Karin for Cammy. Just an unfortunate matchup situation he has to deal with

The reason Birdie is high tier is partly that all of his bad matchups arent that bad
Plus for this tournament no top Guile or Menat to hold him back
