She for sure top tier list in looks, all that matters for an online warrior.

main

secondary

tertiary

Blanka is pretty bad.

Bottom of the barrel is worse. In winners top 8. If Bottom of the barrel wins Evo Japan this will be the craziest thing since Vega making top 8 at Evo 2016. Powell may have to switch Ed if he goes 0 2 in top 8

SNK going full Capcom smh

Gotta keep the hype building.

Better look forward to seeing nothing. They have rarely rarely ever revealed anything big character wise without Ono. When G and Sagat got announced G’s voice actor came out himself in full cosplay. Even when we got our newest sellout edgelord shoto Ono came out for that shit and was backed up by one old school rap group, an old school DJ and at least 2 other female DJs.

Unless Ono is partying and popping bottles at the major shit ain’t going down.

No Blanka pockets tweets either. Blanka basically is the key to seeing more content and he is nowhere in the twitterverse.

That ryu player letting itazan get away with so many dashes into spd hurts so bad. You cant make excuses for the character there. I want ryu players to do well, but it doesnt help that the people that play him choke so bad in tournaments.

Well I mean EVO Japan already violated our Core Values so they probably can’t show anything anyway

It’s hard to stop Gief dashes because majority of his neutral pokes are CC normals, so you have to find the right spots to buffer your anti-dash pokes.

Standing right outside his normals range and reacting to the dash is possible though. It’s 25 frames.

Ya, and if Ryu stands outside of his own normals range into a fireball spacing, Gief gets to sit and wait for a Lariat through the plasma.

You want fullscreen to avoid the scenario entirely. 25 frames isn’t a cakewalk to react to, adding in subtlety of animation and input delay.

If Gief didn’t have a command grab his 25 frame dash wouldn’t be that big of a deal. With how slow the start up is, his dash definitely covers more distance than it did in SFIV and if you don’t react to the dash you basically gave him a SSF2 ranged LP/EX SPD. Combine that with Ryu’s buttons getting totally outranged by his and he can impose his will without Daigo levels of fireball game.

That’s why ranged characters like Falke, Menat and Sagat do well vs him. Falke specifically can whiff punish any button of his that isn’t s.MP or s.LK rather easily so he can’t bully up that space to set up dash grabs as easily. s.HP KK confirm does near 200 damage and knocks him back to corner and f+HP CC gives her v gauge and knocks him back across the screen. Not much flexing going to be going on either as stand shot and v skill blow those up and her super can kill the armor from like 2 character lengths away.

He’s also not really jumping at any of those characters with his slow jump without getting hit or at best a trade j.MK.

Oh trust and believe I know it’s looking like nothing.
Just wishing they’d show something. I can’t be be the only one thinking the silence is strange. Maybe it’ll all be for cpt but where’s the fun in that. Have they been radio silent this long before?

Not really, but you could say considering that they’ve actually provided a decent amount of content in a fast space before the radio silence that they aren’t getting as much crap as they would be. Technically they have not really even started the DLC Season past Kage so they can lollygag around until they actually want to “start” the season. Releasing G and Sagat the next day was the big bomb they did to keep decent faith until they want to really start S4.

TBF most of the seasons never really started off until February so it’s not like this is far outside the scope of when things get rolling. This is a very ambitious year for them with Type Arcade cabinet and possible second cinematic story rolling out so I think people are giving them room to prepare.

Basically, if S3 was a regular “drawn out” season G and Sagat wouldn’t have launched until November 2018 and we would be sitting here waiting as about normal.

You’re surprised someone called you out on your at worst disengenuous assertions, at best, terrible english?

Well you’re dumber than you look.

I’m not saying juri is good or bad or inbetween. I’m simply calling out a fallacious statement made by you. Doesn’t matter if you want to put terms and limitations and new meanings on what you said AFTER you said it, the way you stated it was patently false.

Anywho, the point has been proven and you are just trying to save face at this point. Would have never happened had you not tried to oversell your position.

Juri is another in a sea of characters that would be to strong for her archetype if she were given significant buffs. This means she was designed badly and basically needs a rework. Some major nerfs here and there, some major buffs here and there, to bring her in line with the better characters.

But half the cast needs that, tbh.

Juri isn’t gdlk, but clearly above bottom of the barrel hopelessness (that’s reserved for characters like Cammy). She has a solid amount of players who stick with her and chip into the brackets at events. Infiltration was her only real tournament shine, but he’s made it work.

The Italian Juri Geecko has also placed well at some events. GentlemanThief being able to travel to events might get to finally crack something if he puts the work in.

Looking at this again (I believe Oil King won to get in top vs Punk), I’m down with Nemo, Powell, Fuudo or Momochi taking it.

Solid diversity especially with bottom of the barrel in winners. It’s crazy that Nemo doesn’t win more than he does. Dude really makes Urien the monster he can be.

No ninjas in top 8, but I’ve been happy with the overall top 8/GF win representation for the Kunoichi. Can’t complain
