I fucking hate Shun Ei, he’s dressed like a trashbag and he’s way too strong of a char, great buttons, he can make everything safe and spaced so that you don’t really have much of an advantage.
Though it was fun seeing a complete mirror match in top 8. The 2 kids were playing the same 3 chars in the same positions.
Currently hoping for SR to go the distance since he plays Luong, and I’m trying to learn her.
Plus he pulled out Nelson which no one uses and he also showed off Gang-il, who also sees very little use despite being a pretty strong. Anyway there was great character variety throughout the tournament.

I stopped playing the game back when Shun Ei was just ok so figured a character that loud looking would eventually get buffed. Luong is cool so more Luong is fun.
Nelson I can’t care for. Think he looks stupid and he didn’t really look worth playing.
Shun Ei is how KOF works. Whoever has the best c.B or other oppressive low recovery thing runs the game.

couldn’t agree more, but seeing an unused character is hype, as long as I am not the one that has to play him.
Machabo kinda threw it on the SFV side.
Think it sucks Vanessa isnt better. I think shes cooler than him for sure

Momochi about the best multi character specialist. Too clean with both Kolin and Zeku. His Kolin isnt very triggeer anime happy either. He has a few setups but not a lot of the crazy neon stuff. Just likes to put buttons in good places
His Zeku earlier was a thing of beauty, indeed.
And this Kolin play was something else too.
Vanessa has ToD, problem is you give a lot of bar to the opponent when you pulll it off.

A few characters keep him in check and his dumbest stuff has slowly been taking nerfs
