I am back at the stage where the temptation to play Gief to win is just too big. I see stuff happening and keep thinking that I could have flexed that attack, that I could have ex SPD that whiffed normal, how I could have lariat that Akuma air fireball, or st HP that Kolin st HP, release and follow with CA…
Gief is so, so good. I miss him. But I must stay strong. He doesn’t exist on my select screen till November.
I must endure this.
On a serious note though
Was still going through the entire cast like I was doing before, but as a supplement to Menat grinding rather than a replacement
Got Ed after I finished with Alex
And I forgot just how much fun I had using him
Think I may have just gone full circle and back to Ed and Menat again
Even if certain people will call me stupid for the former choice

Guile’s f.HP does not hit crouchers though. That button would be broken if it did actually. s.HK and b.HP are good options, but he doesn’t really convert in this situations unless he got super or VT stocked.
LW was a bum, a bitch who was trash at the game and could never beat anyone who was halfway decent, and would lose to you easily

Of course, then you end the night by beating an Akuma, and by ex schneide his shun goku satsu and everything feels right in the world again. Even though I only got like 5 or 6 wins all night, as I spent most of it being destroyed by @Dray as my Falke practise.

Oh yeah that’s right. Still f+HP converts really nice if it does hit and he still has 2 other heavies that are completely better for hitting crouching characters/buttons than what the king has right now. Plus better walk speed to force those heavies to begin with.
Makes sense. Ed gives you that walk speed with buttons thing that you tend to go for to back up with Menat’s lame disjoint zoning.
So G is pretty fun. Feels weird playing a character that can commit robbery once VT1 is active.
On the other hand, I am having a lot of fun learning Sakura. She kinda feels like a less explosive Karin with more health, better anti-airs and a fireball. Easier confirms also, even though not as damaging.
I just need to improve my execution a bit though, st.LK buffers are still far from consistent. Too much Guile fucked up my motion dexterity.

Yoooo Angry Bird vs Gamerbee was caaaraazzzy. Not sure if Angry Bird just whiff punished with that Young Zeku VT1 activation in the last round or what. Shit just hit. His Akuma is awesome also.

So one of the first things I see on a Saturday morning is a Urien mirror (haha) match.
And one of the first things I hear is Zhi commenting it.
Why am I doing this to myself.
Alright, didn’t see their first match but if Angrybird would have used his friggin’ DP he could have won that because Gamerbee was jumping more than Super Mario. There was literally no ground game on Gamerbee’s part, it was just Divekick after Divekick and Zeku’s DP can beat that thing easily.

Yeah, against Cammy you have to use Old Zeku most of the time, not only because of dp’s, but to use Teki’s to catch Cammy out of air and let her working on the ground. I like how he moves Zeku in general, but if you let Cammy doing her air things it’s done.
