I like characters like Kolin and Falke that can create interesting situations because of how their projectiles work.
It’s the reason I can never go back to Cammy.
I’ve legit won games off hail set ups I didn’t even know could happen cuz someone jumped or walked back.
I only had 30 seconds to think of a response to all this and that was the best I could come up with
I just find it funny that it’s even a legitimate talking point at all. Next thing you know a brony’s gonna win an event at EVO and open up a whole other can of worms.
Eh, not really. SRK had hella bronies in it. Unless the dude accepts an Evo grand finals with a costume plushie od Twilight Sparkle with a fleshlight in it, nobody is gonna care.
By all means though, win a major and wear a ballgag while accepting your trophy. I wanna see how people try and square away that being acceptable.
Kolin is a really well done character IMO. Doesn’t quite have anything too crazy mix up wise without hail, but when you do get a hail setup going seems you can make up your own shit. The fact that she’s based around counters for mind games makes it very different to fight her from other characters. What is pretty free to do on most characters suddenly is risky vs her.
Ended up scrubbing out to Diamond Guile dropping combos and stuff, but made up for it by winning set vs Ultimate Grand Akuma. Feelin guud.

No ranked for me today. Too tired from work. Reaction time was somehow better then ever but i questioned my decision making ability. Played some casuals instead to get a feel of the plat. Sadly a lot of matches were against guys trying new characters. Anyway i had a task to revive my AA DPing. I have not been doing it since i dropped Cammy a more then a year ago.
Got myself a bunch of sets against a hella jumpy Cammy to get my training and somehow i did’n do that bad. FFS, i started DPing neutral jumps wich a could not AA to save my life. With those mad skills i’ll tear platinum up like a dog tears up a rubber duck.
The bad part is i can’t DP AA at all when i’m waiing for something else like Cammy’s Vskill. It’s 4 frames damn it, i have to stop being such a chicken!
Most telling is how high “newcomer” is on that poll. Faith in Capcom’s SF character designs is at an all time high I think. We haven’t had new characters this good since the Alpha era (yes SF3’s character designs were not good for their time).
I think Oro is definitely number 1. Dude deserves some respect after all this time.
I’d also like to see (Drunken Fist) Lee from SF1 reimagined to be a very high technical and rewarding character. Put those kids Yun and Yang to shame forever.
Casuals dont really give you a feel for the best of your opponent because most of the time they’re playing their sandbag secondaries or tertiaries or whatever. Like I play Sagat in casual match and most of my matches have been the Sagat mirror. Which obviously no one is going to be gdlk with him that you find in casuals and you just get to see who’s the best of the mirror. Best way to get better in ranked is to play ranked, account for the points and deal with people’s main characters. Some people still do throw their weird characters in ranked at the lower ranks, but it will definitely be less frequent than casual where all you’re dealing with is the latest DLC and someone’s funky Sakura or Fang.
You shouldn’t really hard focus on Cammy’s v skill. If she makes you block it she makes you block it. She’s only plus 2 and can’t cancel it into anything so you can always get a free v reversal if you’re that scared of the post pressure. Her V Skill is only really a threat if she’s in that sweet spot in neutral or wake up where it can cross up. Long as you’re not in that spot it’s not a big deal. Can always train yourself to tap your quickest button if you see her go for it near you.
If we don’t get Yun or Yang by Season 5 I’ll…

The problem with the Twin’s divekick is that it counted as a jumping attack so you had to block it standing. Just wrecks people who naturally downback.
3S is such a crazy game. Kind of sad we didnt get Necro sooner. Would rather have Twelve though. They’ll probably give him worthwhile combos this time too.
People aren’t ready for a good Twelve. People hate fighting bad Twelve so a good one gonna be real fun for people.
In 3S you can OS parry dives to calm them down a bit. SFIV its like welp gotta be one of those characters that can AA dives with something over than a standing normal just to get started and then you’re going to be in a blender at some point any way.
I think people will warm up to Twelve once they discover that he inherited Nash’s consciousness in SF6.
