SFV lounge: London we have a Problem X. SFV gave us the Burger King again

The lag in this lounge I’m in is hilariously real.

Your Falke is extra crispy. You got that Justin Wong bore people to death Footsies game going which players like Neon don’t know how to handle all the time.

So I was up and down tonight (I only played for like an hour and thirty minutes) but I kept yo-yoing from SD to base Diamond.

I ended up running into this UD Fang that normally destroys me but I beat him like I actually knew the MU. Shit was kinda crazy. Got back to fraud SD.

Maybe this seems like an obvious factoid but I love SFV. I really do. I don’t think it’s perfect and I’m not gonna cling to this game once SF6 rolls around. I’m just gonna move to the new shit like the old heads do. But that doesn’t take away how I feel. I wouldn’t play this game like I do if I hated it.

I really do love SFV

Till I run into Guile/Akuma/Cammy

Then it’s shit.

If you love a game but hate the cheap shit, then you dont really love it.

You’ll find true love when you turn on a game because you want to watch debased scumbaggery.

I like to keep it lame. Falke gave me lame character to lame with. My Ibuki is probably the most lame Ibuki out there, but you can only be so lame with Ibuki. I like frustrating people with my Ibuki because I’ll just sit there on a life lead and do nothing and wait for them to jump. It freaks people out when a dangerous character like Ibuki just sits and does nothing.

I should have played more tonight, but eh. I’ll play more tomorrow. Yeah you just keep fighting to get out of the fraud rank hurdle. Once you get to 21,000 you about safely in there. You’re going to have to beat some Masters and Grand Masters to do it though and that’s the challenge since a lot of them are legitimate tournament players who do have more experience than you currently have. Yet, online gives you the room to keep running into them until you win, so if you put your shit together you’ll get to making the right decisions eventually.

Fang sounds kinda rough for Kolin. His balls cover AA and horizontal so she has to work to jump or move in on the ground. You beating him explains what I was talking about where he may initially be better or better at beating you, but eventually you’ll start to pick at his tendencies and get a set on him.

I hope I run into that Cast Blanka guy in ranked so he can lose to his first Falke. He has a PS4 and PC account and grand master Blanka on both accounts. Loves the green man.

How does hovering at the beginning ranks of super diamond make your a “fraud”

I remember when you were bitching about the struggle of fighting in the gold league, then platinum.

If you’re aware of your areas that you need to improve on, and you’re learning on a day to day basis, you’re not a fraud

Keep it up

PS. You will never beat me in a set tho

He’s actually referring to the term I use when you fraud rank up. The beginning of promoting to a new rank is the fraud area where you can lose one or 2 games and get demoted. Twin has been on and off getting demoted back down so he fraud Super Diamond. Once he breaks into enough points then he can finally solidify himself.

Oh and got done 2 0ing GM Ibuki (Realistic). Already being an Ibuki player helps and playing against those other Super Plat and Diamond Ibukis that dont know what to do against Falke other than jump helped. Once I got him to the point where he didn’t know what else to do but jump I knew I had him. She’s like Sakura where if you space your buttons right she basically can’t poke at you other than getting a lucky whiff punish or CC and has to jump. Which Falke has a lot of options for that too.

I could have got one in on that GM Rog player, but I didn’t commit to the right things during his v trigger. Oh wellz next time.

If you’re talking about Gief, then yeah. Falke is not low tier though.

Falke does well against most of the top tier so I haven’t really heard of too many low tiers that dont get scraped by the top tier.

Dannng it. Almost beat Headkrones in the set. Zeku is def more honest than Laura.

Against Falke I feel definitely better use Young form the most, it’s hard to keep her in check with Old 'cuz of low pew pew. He’s honest anyway.

There’s a sweet spot where you can just spam gram with O.Zeku and basically stop her from using low shot (and it does way more damage than her low shot can any way). Only issue is if she gets into her spot then she can start low profiling it. The gram outranges and outdamages her fireball zone so it’s not terrible to throw it out a few times to start since you have to start with old man any way. Falke’s hurt box becomes huge during all of her shots and O.Zeku is one of the few characters that can actually take advantage of her huge hurt box during low shot without jumping. She technically low profiles during low shot, but her hurt box what is left of it is still long as hell so things that beat the low profile like jump ins or certain grounded moves take advantage of that.

In order to win the match though, yeah best to get in with Young.

Last night was pretty okay at casuals with Falke. I am still doing stupid stuff with her, gaining muscle memory and figuring stuff out, but I got a 6 win streak and ended up the night with around a 40% win ratio.
Tonight I will see how I will fare on the weekly Razer online tournament here.

I might be ready to start rocking her in ranked this weekend and start the grind towards platinum.

Random Pro Tip

Don’t bother responding to G’s wake up super with your own super, remember that this is SFV and you will have to die because Capcom said so.

Just saw the new costumes for the girls, Capcom you can’t be serious with this pack…

I usually get salty when Juri doesn’t get a costume, but this time i’m glad she didn’t.

Falke’s is the most ok-ish…but i still see no point in ever buying it when her premium “catwoman” costume is so much better, actually one of the best costumes in the game.

Also, does Capcom remember that male characters exist in this game ?

Yeah, that sweet spot to outrange Falke with Grams exists, but I consider it like the appetizer before the whole dinner. Y.Zeku is perfect to stay glued on her, I have to only pay attention on ex dp’s to take it home, especially if I’m able to push Falke into the corner. No doubt Capcom will show love for her in Season 4 and that’s scary honestly.

Or you know…just block since it’s minus a billion…

No, Capcom plans to turn all male characters into females in SFVI, dramatically increasing the quality of the character design in the process.

Gotta pray to lord capcom that ryu and ken get those sagat reduced hurtboxes on their fireballs during start up.

They will probably get nerfed instead. Cammy be praised

YOU CAN’T BLOCK SUPERS IF YOU’RE 1 HP AWAY FROM DEAD AND HE DID WAKE UP SUPER IN YA FACE
ARGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Still won the set though :^)

Also Juri’s Super is just poopy

I kind of like it when I am knocked down, have super and people try to neutral jump or jump over me when I am playing Falke.
I am not too keen on using wake up super, but when they make themselves such lamb for slaughter, you just can’t resist it.

Only in SFV is it normal for reactionary supers to lose to wake up supers (queue being proved wrong with another game)
