Those things help to beat the button pressers at the lower ranks. They press buttons so if you have something that always beats button presses then you’re good.
Unfortunately c.HP AA to V Skill isn’t real for the most part unless you land it like high up in the air. Once you get up to like Super Diamond and above people will just AA button/DP you out of it or walk under it depending on range. Minus 2 EX mileage starts to go down when people realize the worst they’ll take is a throw for letting you take your turn any way.
True. Can’t be mad at someone who advertises their salt beforehand. I was going to give him a friend request and troll him. I’ll think about it.
The only thing with people who troll “salt” is how they act when they win instead. If they rage quit but still run it back if they won, then fuck it, let’s go
But if you beat them countless times and they get 1 win and go full autistic then fuck em’
I hope you guys aren’t tired of the Sagat talk because I think everyone else is. Watched like 2 minutes of Punk’s Sagat and in the comments they were saying shit like “Punk’s Sagat is better than Bochan’s, I’m tired of everyone talking about Bochan.”
Like even if that was true, it’s still the Mega God OG Bochan + Sagat. Everyone is going to pay attention to Bochan’s Sagat and LI Joe’s and Sanford IF he tried to put his heart into it again.
Fanboys I guess…if there was an unknown godlike Sagat player I’d watch his shit too…only thing is with SFV you don’t really need to watch too many character specialist because the game ain’t THAT deep…maybe 2-3 specialist is good enough IMO
Edit: Funny how I never seen comments like this with Akuma/Tokido…aw who am I kidding, there’s literally 1 Akuma and it’s Tokido.
Yeah, it’s pretty much what i feel right now. I don’t mind them eating the throw it’s a nice chunk of damage instead of a lost turn. I need to build my upclose game. Then i’ll probbably be able to go into presure instead of just trowing.
Again those thing helped me mostly in confidence/mindset sense.
Btw, i beat AA buttons with early Vskill punch but then lose to crouching. And if i checked it right you can’t walk under Vskill unless i do early punch due to collision box. You probably can do some low profiling dash if those exist. And DPs are a thing, no argument here.
I haven’t watched Punk’s Sagat yet, but if people think he’s going to have this great Sagat that will really rival Bonchan’s…well his Cammy already showed he’s not ready to heavy invest into tourneys for any character that isn’t Karin basically. Karin other than something else crazy better than her or Cammy coming around is going to be his go to character.
Bonchan is his hero so I assume he’s playing Sagat partly on that whole thing.
Some more Bonchan Sagat vs some of his best, super winning matchups.
I watched the Punk Sagat highlight video on youtube and it’s basically just him beating up on regi;ar diamonds and one or so super diamonds and the peanut gallery hyping it up. Couple fights are vs a couple of the Falke players I’ve run into before. One of them still needs to work on his fundamentals and could barely AA him. Sagat shouldn’t be able to jump forward twice in a row vs Falke.
Most of the Gats I play don’t jump. Even the platinum fuckers are content with tiger tiger all round. And Kolin has an excruciatingly hard time dealing with proper zoning.
Plus all these Gats are like level 9 DP masters. I ain’t never seen niggas DP as consistently as Gat players
Sagat’s DP hits really high in the air so you dont have to be very good at AAing to get people out of the air. LP TU covers so much range and hits the air so fast that there’s a large range where you can just do it and they’re not going to come down for the most part.
I can’t believe there are really people out there who play Bison, ragequit on Falke players and then go sleep at night (probably after beating puppies for fun).
What the heck can you do against Bison with Falke to begin with?
I know how to deal with “Mr. Always positive ob” with Gief. But with cute girl Falke? Feels like a nightmare!
You just have to play patient and make sure you challenge any of his standard jump ins. You can’t let him jump in because once that happens it gets bad.
If you can get him to not jump then you can pepper in some s.HP and f+HP to fish for damage and CC’s. Helps to know when he does an unsafe scissor to get back turn. Sometimes you can walk under EX DR and PP or EX PP it also. Overall it’s a pretty bad match where you have to beat the player. He has too many ways to just slide along the ground to get in and if you forget about one of those that can give him room to jump in.
