Plus overall c.HP is just generally overrated Akuma button that most top Akumas dont actually use much. It’s pretty much platinum/diamond online warrior button that doesn’t see much actual top player use. You could argue his c.HP is too strong in comparison to other weaker CC buttons, but as far as within the game overall it’s pretty fair and other buttons Akuma has does what it does with better safety.

In this entire 9 minute set, Otani use his c.HP I think one time in the corner and it gets blocked just to use as a frame trap. The standing buttons he mostly uses are s.MK and s.HP. s.HP is harder to whiff punish, faster start up so its better at whiff punishing and goes into pretty good stuff on hit as well. Tokido also uses s.HP a lot (and especially used it a lot in his FT10 vs Daigo).

Seems like you want to buff his zoning. I’d go the other way and buff his offense. Specifically, increasing his mobility by either a walkspeed buff and/or giving him a projectile invincible special like ex zonk. Even with that he’d still probably lose to Guile but it’d be much more manageable. Agree on the mp/cr.mp hitbox adjustments. And extending the range on his ruffian kicks would be huge. Right now he has no way to punish light blanka ball without having ex zonk charged.

It’d also be nice if his st.hp AA’d cross ups better
with how slow he is it’s hard to position yourself to AA sometimes. You should also be able to chuck the pipe after VT2 expires.

A change that I would make to Akuma would be to make it so that his st.mk doesn’t force stand on hit. Akuma’s vskill kick whiffs on crouchers, but it doesn’t matter because the only button you ever cancel it off of forces a standing state. This would at least make the Akuma player apply the right combo to the situation. I never liked that he can choose to side switch without giving up that much damage or position with such an easy confirm.

Holy shit that 3rd match. Xiaohai went all the way in with that non confirmed string and lost. Like typical XSK is top Akuma player so he doesn’t use c.HP much at all.

Xiaohai best Cammy.

Considering he doesn’t play the game as much as NL does it’s crazy how good he still is. I’d argue NL has the best results, but on point Xiaohai is right there with him.

Yeah, I just feel like when Xiaohai actually applies himself he has premier winning potential. Seems like there’s times when he focuses on KOF. But damn as far as execution and reactions, he’s right up there with Fuudo.

Man this was starting to look like a massaccre

Still, where’s the real Sako? This guy in the screen drops combos left and right

Always felt Menat vs abi was a lot closer than people say it is.

Always felt Menat vs Abi was 6 4 at worst. It’s one of those match ups that she kinda has to v reversal in since trying to hold on to trigger means she could die before she gets to use it. He has the range and armor to actually challenge her buttons also

That’s what Infiltration said.

forgot who he played with that made him say it was even.

It was Storm. He played like 3 FT10s vs Kubo and either one usually won by like 1 or 2 games

No way anyone’s whiff punish with DP Jin you crazy son. Cr.mp though is ok. St.mk is very good I just played dime again.

I also agree it’s still sagat has no indication of AS uppercut. Although generally I do remember it would still be helpful.

Did Chris T purposely let Momochi recover from stun there??

My reactions are pretty good and especially with considering buffering MP TU is pretty doable. s.MK is ok but you’ll get better damage and possibly oki with c.MP to tiger/EX tiger. s.MK is better when you have trigger so you can confirm it into full damage.

Either way Akuma’s c.HP is not good enough to warrant making a big deal out of. If you’re having problems with Akuma’s c.HP or that’s what they wanna focus on, then the Akuma isn’t good enough any way.

Chris T confirmed best Ken in the world.
