PR Rog lasts tweets are funny and sad at the same time. I have good memories about SF4 and everything about that era too, but honestly the game hadn’t no more to say. Sure thing E-Sports erased a bit of that ‘magic’ we were living as a growing community and SF4 gave more dependency than SFV, but the past is the past. Honestly I don’t think pros would be all playing 4 over 5 if there’s no E-Sports money on the line, I’m sure instead all these SF4 widows don’t stick with it because Asians aren’t playing that game anymore. It’s different from 2X or 3s, outside his own greatness and all, SF4 didn’t aged that well.

About as bad an attitude as the people that claim they love SF4 but don’t play it. People keep forgetting that tournaments isn’t the only thing the community does.
The vast majority of FGC people are non-competitive. Dudes are just likely to show up for sessions as they are a tournament. Even at a tournament most of the matches are high unlikely to be the ones just for the tournament.
Like damn, just sit down and play something fun. It soothes the soul.

This is why I laugh when peeps talk about how good mvci is and ain’t nobody playing. Monthlies and weeklies for it can’t run cause no players. But UMvC3 shows up? Injustass shows up? Lol
Even casual matches are weak.

SF4 for me at a minimum was just a snappier game. Go watch a reply, it even looks snappier. SF5 is on drugs.

I want Capcom to give us the CFN online player stats in the last 6 months, I want to know if the game is growing online or at a stale
Input lag was way lower on top of normals being way faster and containing more active frames.
Characters still moved like they had lead shoes. I blame this on the animations though. SF4 felt like the test on how to sort of get a 2.5D fighter kind of right. So they made a bunch of mistakes which benefitted SF5.
Hopefully by SF6 things are mint.
The whole SF4 experience was just better outside of the game itself. I think a mixture of both games might be the perfect SF, but SF5 interface can run off a cliff.

Sf5 is a fun game, but it’s fun like checkers is fun.
Comparing sf4 and sf5 to each other I think a comparison like that is more apt. Sf4 is like chess, sf5 is like checkers or poker.
Sf5 you use reads to gain more reads, you do unsafe stuff to read unsafe stuff and you use unsafe stuff to gain mixups. Sf4 you se safe stuff to get reads and setup your unsafe stuff, or you just stay away from the unsafe stuff full tilt.
Sf5 playing safe you can never win because pokes don’t do enough damage, and neither does wiff punishing. Only things that actually do enough damage are off of jumps or dashes or unsafe to throw out crush counters. The medium button is virtually a pariah in sf5 footsies whereas it’s king in sf4 footsies.
