After losing 800 points I think I’m done with this game. I am still bad but I just can’t take it anymore. No game ever has made me rage this hard.
First I either set the online settings to 5 and PC only and wait 30+mins for a game, or risk getting matched against Turkish Kens and Akumas on wifi, running all around the screen, pressing random buttons and doing tatsus into shoryus. My favourite was shoryuken into shoryuken, which I didn’t punish because of the lag. The online is just the worst, expecially since every frame counts, having variable input lag + shitty online is just rage inducing. The game also feels like way too much guesswork for me. A lot of the time I don’t think to myself I should have played better but just ‘‘oh, I should have blocked that dp, I should have jumped back that time’’ etc.
I gave it a chance, and only got to gold but I think I’m going back to Guilty Gear. This game just makes me mad. I still have fun watching it though.
Countdown to a new SNK game on September 10th. Can’t get my hopes up too much after the ArcSys countdown reveal ended up being a 3D arena fighter.
STILL, if it’s Samsho, Garou or NeoGeo Battlecoliseum that would be amazing. Hope they learned from KOF 14 - need nice graphics and rollback netcode to sell in the west.
I dont expect it to be anything special. TBH if KOF 14 rolled out with the graphic textures that are in the current version of the game it wouldn’t have been so bad. It’s because of the beta pictures with Tekken 2 Andy and what they released at launch that turned people off.
Just dont think SNK has the budget to put out visually what people want. Think SNK will stay being the fighter company that puts out lower budget visuals and just appeases fans with their characters and gameplay. Asian companies have continued to prove they dont care about rollback or implementing a rollback comparable to GGPO so that’s out of the question for SNK
Well officially count me in the camp of whiny bitches complaining about G. Once again Capcom has overcompensated for G’s horrific defense by giving him a downright ridiculous V-trigger. Why can they never find the right balance? It’s not even hard for him to gain his presidential levels.
they actually seem to have the money to put out a better looking game judging by how they are doing financially.
Btw, is there any difference between offline and online in SFV when there is no lag between the two players?
Or does online inherently have some lag?
They have implemented rollback to the KOF 97 steam port after the consumer base demanded it, so SNK actually cares a bit about it.
Rollback online code for whatever they are setting up to be announced isn’t a far fetched dream.
They have the money, but like most game companies the amount of money relegated to the fighting games is never proportionate to theit total wealth.
Not sure about online extra delay. If there is any it can’t be much more or varies based on the connection to account for ping changes.
Well that’s a port and even Capcom is known for adding rollback to the majority of their ported old games. Mainline new SNK game with rollback is highly unlikely
