I was watching one of the replays between Doctrine and LordWillieStyle. The man divekicked Ed’s KK anti air move clean.

Poor Akhos out there reacted accordingly and it lost to divekick.
Ed started stretching his leg and a blond booted his nutsack mid movement with two scoops of Grade A Timbs.

Bison is cancer buy can we complain about Rashid more? This character has been top tier since at least Season 2 and nobody cares.

People didnt understand how good Akuma was on release.

SFV Akuma is literally the worst design I’ve ever seen in any game ever, what’s the point in having a cast of 30+ characters when this dude is just a better version of 99% of them? Like kage is just Akuma but worse

Well to be fair Ed’s Psycho Rising isn’t really a DP…and having a one button meterless fully invincible anti-air would be kinda silly

Then again Cody gets his V-skill invincibility on frame 3 so why not I guess give it to me Capcom plz

I used EX Psycho Upper a lot in other matches (some of the later matches you can see that), which does beat every version of dive kick clean. Regular Psycho Upper only has upper body invincibility and is hella slow, really useless as an anti-air when Psycho Rising exists

Just sometimes I think I can react to dive kick fast enough to Psycho Rising through it and…well…what Pertho said happens

You know what pisses me off the most ablut him?

Its not the cr.HP/b.HP or ex demon flip crap, its how easy it is for him to convert into big combos seamlessly almost any time. Its like you press a button in neutral and he hits st.MK and converts into long combo that also leads to oki, and for some reason this seems to be above the rest of the top tiers even

Feel like Ed got really short changed by Capcom. Interesting design and I think it’s perfect for newer players to get into the game without those pesky inputs but naw… just make him weird and have a move that goes up into the air but isn’t a reliable anti-air. Very nice.

To be fair his Psycho Rising is a super reliable anti-air…against everything that isn’t Cammy’s Dive Kick :sob:

But it would be nice if it got invincibility sooner so I could whiff a medium and still kick people out of the sky

The more I think about it, the more it feels lile Cammy’s divekick is a mistake. Not all diveki ks, just the super low to the ground, silly to deal with stuff. Its kind of weird that with all the rules required to use it, it stills so troublesome.

Gotta jump, wait X amount of frames before you can do it, can only be done from forward jump etc. What dealio?

All these problems with Cammy divekick yet there are people that REALLY want to see the twins. That’s just nuts.

Twins dont have low divekicks, just different angles.

They also have cool tools all around. Dont you hate.

Cammy should be a 1025 health character and her divekicks should build 5% grey life per use.

I guess Capcom thinks the massive hurtbox on top of all that is enough for it to be fine

(Both normal and EX are the same)

But then its given a lot of speed so that becomes less relevant, especially when using EX
