SFV Lounge: Ken is high mid. Kage is barely mid. F2P still coming

Anyone playing tonight

I can play for a bit, but I may have to go pretty soon

Sent an invite

If you weren’t already online lemme know when I can send it again

I’m on now

Sorry, try again. CFN disconnected when I wasn’t looking

Sorry gotta run. GGs

No problem, GGs.

Random Nash was just me trying someone else out for a sec, but then I remembered I hate not being able to move + might as well just use Ed for a similar gameplan but with walkspeed XP

Anyone else playing tonight? @GetTheTables? @Doctrine_Dark?

You have the patience of a saint. I would just think you would like to get paid more for that. Hell half my Abigail strategy when I’m not busy throwing away my spacing on yolo stuff is just tradin blows and relying on my damage and HP.

Guile seems like an obvious answer? Balrog?

Feel free to try random shit whenever. If I had more time I was going to try birdie.

I plan on playing Menat alongside Ed eventually. She’d be the one I play for patiently slapping people from a distance. I just need to actually stick to a character for more than a month. I think that’s the longest I’ve stuck with any character individually, and that was only Ken in Season 1.

Ed I think works for what I want fine, it’s more a matter of me patching my weaknesses which are crucial for Ed, IE using my spacing and patience to work my way in, rather than constantly hanging back. I like being patient, but I also like to be able to play offensive if I need to, and I like how Ed does that. Even if he’s not great.

Basically Ed and Menat are the characters I enjoy playing the most but I need to stick with and get good with one, and I feel more comfortable at the moment trying to take Ed as far as I can.

Playing @Doctrine_Dark and @Frost gives me a glimmer of hope that can happen. I mean I get destroyed free right now but I can see what I can do to fix that, it’s just a matter of time~

Game has dumb blockstun which makes the game unplayable even with lag. So many poorly thought design decisions.

Ed seems solid up close to me. And his AAs are un-fuck-withable.

Ed’s cr.HP hitbox kinda garbo.
Psycho Rising is slow.

Just be a fuckwit with a bad connection and Ed’s free munny.

GGs @Beekmeer, I’d go for longer but our connection is kinda really bad unfortunately :frowning:

No problem. I think CFN has gotten worse lately. I use to have decent connections with you and Frost, but I guess they aren’t very good any more.

St mk works as an anti air too, probably even better than Cr hp. psycho rising anti air starts in 12 frames so not always useable.

Just seems random who has a good connection and who doesn’t. Like even against Frost it’s random when the connection is decent and when it’s awful.

Likewise @Vhozite is two states away from me and it’s unplayable but I think @DevilJin_01 is west coast vs my east coast and our connection feels fine enough.

I don’t get it

Pretty sure DevilJin is near DC, which would explain you having a better connection with him. I haven’t played against him in quite a while, but I don’t think the connection was too bad last time we played.

Oh whoops, always thought he was West Coast for some reason

Nah it’s 'aight, with how bad other jump-ins are

The issue is less the hitbox and that it doesn’t get its AA frame until frame 9…while Psycho Rising gets full invincibility on frame 10. So no real reason to use it when both are 1 button AAs, unless you try and get a cheeky left/right by cancelling crhp into VTII activation.

The one time I use crhp is against Kolins who I think will double jump 'cause he can then anti-air her normally and if she double jumps I can just crhk her on the way down. At least, I used to be able to, I haven’t checked if he still can since crhk got its active frames reduced for no reason

Our connection always seems pretty good and I’m in southern Illinois.

I do have gigabit internet though.
